happy disability pride month to those with degenerative/progressive disabilites:

-Those who know what their disability is and why its getting worse

-Those whos disability hasnt been diagnosed yet but the symptoms and degenerative nature of their illness is still taking effect

-and those who have to watch their bodies steadily decline while their healthcare professionals refuse to treat them (for no fault of their own)

-to the ones who are told they are too young to have their body declining

-'too young' to be using their mobility aids, or seeing certain specialists, or who notice they're the youngest patients in certain clinics by years if not decades

You deserve to be seen, and heard, and supported; You deserve kindness and respect and to be taken seriously about your medical concerns and the nature of your disability/ies

having a degenerative disease can be really fucking scary, I wish that tomorrow is kinder than today was.

listening to Rosyln by Bon Iver and St. Vincent feels so calming, yet so sad. it feels like your long time friend who you loved more than a pal died and you return from their funeral on a cold day. you shared more than just a deep friendship, but a pure form of love... you two weren't able to accept. and it would be all gone in the future. a memory. you will have your own family, with amazing kids and a spouse who you adore, yet the only true love remains for them - your long lost friend who became a memory you wear in your locket, because "it's a lucky charm" not because you miss them so much you want to gauge your eyes out.

there's this idea i have for an upcoming fanfic: 70s AU where Chris tries to form a rock band while being a muse. Ginny is just begining her acting career. they meet at the band's concert and agree to help each other out but in the process they fall in love with each other.

Sitting at work, reading about Brianna Ghey, trying not to cry, whilst I overhear my colleagues in the hallway making jokes about pronouns. A cis female colleague is cackling, bent double with laughter after being offered a he/him badge by one of our managers, who finds it just as hilarious, claiming he'll wear a she/her badge to make the joke even better.

They don't get it. They do not fucking get it.
