I have been contemplating this since the beginning of the month until finally I asked my nephew to help me out in working a Discord channel just for books up. This channel is dedicated to nothing but a love for reading from favorite genres to meeting new readers out there that could share your same interests.

This place is new and I am just getting it up and running. So, come and enjoy. :D

I finally managed to convince my Muse into writing again.

I got part of chapter thirteen written. I have been working on it for nearly an hour and I have about four pages written. I am hoping to have this chapter done within the next few days.

Although that may not happen as I hope. So, I won't make promises.

This does not surprise me in the least. We have homes near UTEP whose foundations are made of tombstones. I won't be surprised if there are more to be found later.  The older portions of El Paso may still contain tombstones or just bodies beneath them. 

Francisco "Pancho" Villa ran through this city and often battled against the military stationed here at Ft. Bliss. There were even pictures of him visiting U.S. Brigadier General John J. Pershing at his home. I honestly wish I had pictures of the home because it is still being used by the Commander of Ft. Bliss and not far away is another really nice home nearby for the Vice Commander. 

But yeah, I found this interesting and I thought to share it.

I am thinking of shutting down the laptop early tonight. My niece has a dentist appointment in the morning and I want to be able to help my sister with her. So all hopes of doing any sort of writing tonight will have to wait. The only good thing is that I was approved for The Hurricane Wars on Netgalley and I sooo want to read it. I will probably read it until my medication takes effect and I fall asleep.Have a good night everyone. <3

I fucking hate days when I have such a migraine from hell. I cannot even see straight and I know I am going to have to break away from the laptop for a while.

It does not quite bother me but I wanted to do some writing tonight. I was hoping to work on the next chapter for When My Heart Shatters or Every Time I Love You.

I know I am behind on both. I haven't been able to get my muse to work on anything lately. There have been days when she will get some idea for a chapter and spend a day and a half writing it.

I got her to work on just a little bit but I feel she might go back and rewrite some of it here and there. 

I think I might head off soon. I know new releases on books start at about ten at night so I am looking forward to seeing some pop up on my Kindle. I may not be able to start reading them but I want to see which ones pop up first.

I feel horrible today. My throat has been hurting and my entire body is starting to ache. All I want to do is sleep. I wanted to try writing tonight, but that is not going to happen tonight. 

I also promised a friend I would pop up on Discord. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen either. I will have to apologize sometime this week. 

Anyway, I am heading off to prepare to sleep. I picked up a book from Netgalley but I am seeing a lot of bad reviews for it. I don't want the negativity to hinder my reading experience so I am going to try to not let it affect it.

I mean, I did take the advice from a ton of readers that said The Zodiac Academy was one of the best reads and I ended up hating it. I even placed it up there with The Twilight Saga as the most hated book series I have ever read.

And those who are reading this and love The Twilight Saga, I am not the friend you want. Sorry.

FINALLY, I am finished with the Zodiac Academy series. I should never listen to BookTok on Tik Tok because half the time, they are wrong when it comes to recommending books. These had been all over and I saw nothing but rave reviews for them. 

Also, there seemed to be scenes from Harry Potter that I came across. 

But the characters - some were great, some had developments that went forward and then backward, wannabe Jean Grey/Phoenix/Dark Phoenix moments, and the anti-climatic endings that made me hate everything about the series.

As for my next series? I have yet to decide which one. There were a few I want to check out, but I have an ARC from the author that needs my attention first.

I was supposed to go to jury duty today. I had already taken my medication and had been preparing for bed when LO AND BEHOLD I get an email stating my jury duty had been canceled. You have no idea how irritated I had been. There were things I needed to have done and things I wanted to start working on. 

I know if they had waited at the last minute, I would have done a lot of table flipping and cow tipping of employees. Yes, yes, I know - I would be in jail for it. But at the same time, I would have been satisfied with it.

I honestly don't think my medication is working anymore. My moods have been really bad and to the point, I get short with everyone. I hate being around people once again and my anxiety is becoming a bit worse. I was supposed to see the doctor earlier this week, but my sister was worried that I was coming down with Covid again and called to reschedule my appointment. She told me she thought it would be "safer than sorry" if I did have it. She believed it would no good to give it to others. 

I had tried to do some writing last night and no luck whatsoever. I suppose with my trying to get to bed early, my Muse just told me NO. I will try again maybe later. I don't know.

Maybe if I start using my reading journal things might change.

Anyway, I am heading off for a bit. See you all later tonight. :)

You know I should be asleep right now, but I ended up hurting back somehow. I am in a lot of pain. I did take something for it but it has not quite worked enough for the pain to numb. So, I ended up doing some writing while I hoped for the numbness to the pain.

Chapter Twelve of WMHS has been started. I am about three and a half pages into the story. I finished up a scene that had been playing in my head for a day or so and I ended up working on it tonight. I will probably go over it tonight to see if I like it enough.

I am working on Chapter Five of ETILY. I have that nearly finished. I am debating on which direction six will go. I am leaning toward that chapter to still be held in the modern day but I have not fully decided yet. 

I just leave Musie to decide what will happen. I do have an idea for a past chapter and I just may start it up and have it ready to go with other chapters.

I took a stroll down memory lane and went to see if an old journaling site was still around -deadjournal. It had been around with Greatest Journal (I really, really miss that site), P-Journal, Blurty, Livejournal, and many others. I only used it like a few times because of the restrictions they had on it:

The place was invitation only

I had considered using it as something personal because my psyche doctor wanted me to start doing some writing. She wanted to see what my moods were like and what was going through my mind. I have been writing it out in pen but I thought a journal online would be much better. 

I know a lot of people don't want to know so much personal shit about me so I don't do a lot of personal information. Maybe I will open an insanejournal just for this. It might be better because I can lock my writing away from my sister seeing it. Maybe it would be for the better.
