{ ♔ }—— Little prince.
Well, he supposed it was better to be both little and a prince. He would never be burdened by the responsibilities Rameses would, and though he wouldn't admit to it, he knew that it was undoubtedly for the best. Moses couldn't ever picture himself as the Pharaoh, or anyone important really. The shadow Rameses cast was long, and he was most definitely eclipsed by it.

They were about halfway down, and Moses' list of topics to talk about was growing rather short. He didn't want to bring up anything to do with princely duties, as he knew his brother would most likely find a reason to amble off again.
"Camel fur?!" he laughed, spinning round to snatch back his wig.
Moses severely doubted it was made of anything so peasant-ish, but the remark had rubbed him wrong regardless. He was not fond of his curly brown hair, hidden well underneath the sleek black tresses of his hairpiece. It was out of place in his family with thin dark hair, and that made him uncomfortable.
"Well at least it doesn't smell like mother's oils. How long do you usually soak yours in the morning for hmm?"
{ ☆ } ▌;;
”That is my job : supporting the little prince.”
He gave a bright smile, even though Moses had his back to him. —— Rameses didn’t stop to think that it was his brother who actually did most of supporting. Surely, the younger wouldn’t need someone to tell him that.
" — ha ha. Still gnawing away at that bone, are we? At least my hair is my own. For all we know, you could have camel fur on your head.”
The ponytail had never been Rameses’ choice; the style was what crown princes wore. So, literally, only he had it. Much better than some wig, in his humble opinion. His arm reached out to yank said hair piece off his brother’s head.

{ ♔ }—— Relaxing at the older's words, Moses threw his arms behind his head and continued down the stairs at a more leisurely pace. Rameses had always been the smarter one.

"Oh that's very comforting brother. Thank you for the support."
He only snorted because he knew it was true. He did often have a tendency to attract all sorts of bad luck, not that he made it a serious point to stay out of trouble. It was a wonder anyone had been able to put up with him and his shenanigans for this long at all really.
"You're just picking on me because I refuse to get my hair cut like yours aren't you? I told you. Only you can pull that style off Rameses."
{ ☆ } ▌;;
Steps were much louder than his brother’s, and it took a good amount of effort to quiet them down. Trailing behind Moses, Rameses could only trust that he was a decent enough look-out.
"I think they will. Gods are like us. —— minus the, uhm, head thing.”
Rameses did not believe them to be ‘just statues’, but it wasn’t like they had gone and chopped off the heads of literal deities. The beings had to be, from their respected positions, laughing at him and his brother.
"And we both know you are already cursed.”

{ ♔ }—— "Well it's only polite."
Stepping quickly from the temple, Moses peered over the side to make sure no one had spotted them yet, and once satisfied that the coast was clear he began to hop down the steps. The good and bad thing about temples was that they usually only had one good exit.
"They should! Those statues weren't easy to move all by myself you know. I would have dropped Horus for sure if you hadn't come in when you did." All mirth seemed to drain from him as if the thought just suddenly passed his mind.
"I hope the gods enjoy a good joke every once in a while, or else I think you and I are going to be cursed. ---------I mean, they are just statues."
{ ☆ } ▌;; “I don’t remember that being a rule,” He replied with a smile, giving Moses a light shove towards the exit.
As always, his brother’s plans were far from thought out, and Rameses was stuck with trying to find an escape route — not something the elder was incredibly good at.
”I’m sure they’ll be furious about it all day. An initial reaction isn’t as good as a running joke.”
That being what the siblings could never do. They were always caught, some way or another, and their prank would be brought to an abrupt end. — But, the chance to truly fool the priests was too good to pass up.

{ ♔ }—— In truth he more enjoyed spending time with Rameses over the actual race itself. Not that he'd ever tell him that.
"You did go on the count of three rather then after the count of three."
Details, details. The older had won indeed, but such was the playful bickering of brothers. In the end both princes ended up having a blast and really that was all that mattered to Moses.

"Hmmm... Well, I didn't quite think that far ahead, but I think it wise we make ourselves scarce, lest the priests return and our good work goes to waste."
Ah yes, him and his half-brained schemes. All in good fun however, even if in the end he was usually caught. "It'd really be something if we could see the reactions, but then we risk getting discovered faster."
{ ☆ } ▌;; Taking a step back to examine his work. hands on his hips, he wasn’t expecting Moses’ words.
“Competition? If I recall correctly, last time you didn’t stand a chance.”
When was the last time they raced? Not recently, that’s for sure — schedules hadn’t allowed something so pointless. For a moment, Rameses contemplated explaining himself; the last thing he wanted was his brother thinking he was avoiding him.
Shaking his head, the prince decided against it. Moses would be fine; he didn’t need him around to have fun.
"So that’s who’s next then? Wouldn’t want to switch them all — too much work for something we’re going to have to fix later."

"You're a prince; why on Earth are you still a virgin?"

{ ♔ }—— Certainly there’d been more then one occasion for him to have a bit of fun in that area, but Moses was reluctant to admit that he just hadn’t really felt like indulging himself. From what he heard of it, it sounded like the act was enjoyable, and there were many beautiful concubines wandering about… There was something their mother had once told him as a child that’d stuck with Moses, even as raging hormones encouraged him to romp around with a pretty girl or two.
“Well… Give me your word you’ll not laugh at me and I’ll tell you.”
