I can keep going but I hope you get the point that under no fucking instance does Lucien enacting a blood duel fit his character. He is the most selfless character is this series and how anyone could call him a fucking coward is beyond me. Maybe try reading with nuance and understanding the character yall speak ill of on behalf of Azriel who hasn’t even done half as much. And stop acting like Elain needs saving from him when he’s been nothing but respectful to her and the most respectful mate we’ve seen. Get it together.

i’m tired of the narrative that rhysand is the perfect mate when he literally is no better than tamlin.

i’m tired of people thinking it’s okay that Cassian never, NEVER, truly sticks up for Nesta at any point in the story.

i’m tired of Azriel getting a pass for feeling entitled to Elain but Lucien is a walking devil all for accidentally blurting out she’s his mate during a bad time and trying to respect Elain’s space while still showing her kindness.

i’m tired of Rhysand and the IC getting a pass for their shady behavior, especially when it comes to the pregnancy plot line. they should’ve told her when they knew, no they weren’t keeping it from her “for her health!!!” they were stripping feyre of her autonomy, the same with nesta.

i’m tired of Elain being seen as a child.

i’m tired of everyone vilifying Nesta.

i’m tired of Rhysand and the IC being extended empathy for their past and even current actions but that same forgiveness isn’t given to anyone else. people seem to forget rhysand is supposed to be morally gray, he’s done bad things for the sake of doing bad, he is not the perfect goody-goody in a dark color palette.

i’m tired of people forgetting Feyre (and any other pov characters) is an unreliable narrator.

i’m tired of people acting like Nesta and Feyre aren’t the different sides of the same coin.

i’m tired of people pretending the IC wouldnt have reacted differently had it been feyre to give “x” away in CC3.

im tired of this fandom lacking media literacy!!

Actually, Tamlin is not wrong to think that maybe all Feyre wanted was to be High Lady, so she switched High Lords. Because that actually makes way more sense than canon.

Rhysand taught her how to read uwu gets me so mad because Tamlin tried to teach her too. More than once he offered to help but she refused and wouldn’t try harder at the time. And honestly, Rhysand had nothing to do with her learning to read. She had PTSD and needed a hyperfixation. Rhysand just happened to offer the idea at the right time.

I'm just saying if Tamlin had tried to wrap Feyre in a magic bubble (honestly an understatement, its described more like a magic second skin which sounds infinitely more claustrophobic...) that kept her friend from being able to kiss her cheek no one would have dismissed it as charming over-protectiveness.

how could any of them take feyre seriously at the high lord meeting when the last time they'd seen her, she was basically naked night after night, writhing on rhys' lap drunk - and also an illiterate mortal who held no value to them whatsoever.

And the IC have the audacity to be outraged that rhys isn't automatically accepted and believed... like you guys weren't there UtM, you have noooo idea what heinous things rhys did to these people - and his mate

Remember that time in ACOWAR when Feyre and Rhys asked Drakon and Miryam to take the cauldron and hide it without consulting the other high lords? Why am I not surprised that the night court is hoarding weapons again? That is a weapon of mass destruction. It should have been a joint decision between all the leaders, regardless of how much arguing it would cause. It would've been cool if the leaders of each court/territory participated in a spell to seal it. And only the high lords, vassa/jurian and drakon/miryam know of its location. That way no one has the advantage.

Honestly, I wish Tamlin had asked for something in return for Rhysand's life. He should have put Feyre and the entire night court in his debt. They would have stopped treating him like trash if they owed him something. They owed him, they still owe him and he should have made a deal which constantly reminded them of it. But no, once again, his selflessness has brought him nothing but misery because he's surrounded by gaslighting monsters who think they are heroes.
