Please tell me about Graywash Hole Day
We dump graywash in a hole and take bets on what would survive getting tossed in there.
@passacagliaofficial has the running tally on it but so far just the BUC MREs have survived.

[ECHO.EXE RUNNING]
Ok, so, I am no longer in the Enkidu/Balor hybrid... thing.
Good news, I figured out why it was warning me about the grass. Upon contact with greywash, the foliage of Crossland emits a rather potent psychoactive vapour, which causes delirium. hence my... outburst.
Bad news, in order to keep me from starving to death, the greywash fed me my own legs. from the knee down.
I really gotta stop trying to print shit...
Anyway, uuhhh, may I request "this fire - Franz Ferdinand"?
None are free till all are free,
Marci [CALLSIGN : HERACLEA]
On the air.
I'm sure you've considered not using graywash, but I'm going to recommend it anyway. COMMENCER was the best of its use cases and it still required us to be locked underground for hundreds of years to be safe. The military use stuff is good only for unchecked destruction.
Ask me about Graywash Hole Day.
Anyway, when you have someone to print for you try these prosthetics I'm sending. They're designed for low material demand but do better in both general use and combat situations than most commercial print codes.

This is a funny way of saying that Union produced the blockade only by preventing Stone from committing their troops to annihilating us post-Interest War. The orders have never been to "maintain [the] blockade," bootlicker, they've been to maintain our independence, which your government has signed peace agreements conceding to.
Oh, and anon? Calling us "indigenous" in this funny little spat you're having with this intern forgets the fact that we were Karrakin before the House of Stone looked at how egalitarian our society had become underground and declared us all ignoble and in need of Ludra's rule. This was always about maintaining the noble/ignoble divide, and not whatever conflict you're trying to map onto us for rhetorical points. Meet us where we are or not at all.
— Mistral
Not going to comment on how the baronies treatment of ludra's world/new sanjak, and how that does in fact show how poorly the baronies do treat indigenous populations? Am I supposed to believe with that example that such capabilities are beyond the baronies government to condone. As to your second point, why didn't the baronies? Not conquer, but just go to see old earth AT ALL? The baronies reached out to other worlds stars but not back to Cradle?
The Baronic Council notably did not condone the actions taken on the Moon of Khayradin. House Ludra, acting independantly, violated several Baronic Human Rights laws and brought a rebellion upon themselves. As soon as knowledge of it became public, the wider House of Stone worked with the BUC to strip House Ludra of all noble titles, remove them from authority over the territory and cut them off from any political allies that they had. I believe most recently I heard one of their heirs was attempting to get a job at a "fast food" establishment and failing.
The people who were under House Ludra's jurisdiction have been promised the protection of a far more liberal house that is subject to greater oversight when they eventually rejoin the Baronies properly, though the House of Stone has struggled to rebuild trust with them.
The Baronies did not seek to visit or communicate with Earth because it simply was not an important planet anymore.

A GREETING
[GENET-ORBIT///INITIALIZING.DELIBERATING] [NO.QUERY///NARRATIVE.ESTABLISHED] [INTERLOCUTOR:::NONE.DETECTED] [VOICE:::OA10G-Akakia]
Hello Omninet.
Good [morning/afternoon/evening] from the Orbit of Glass. The Harlequin's Rose bathes us crimson in the light of the young and the unborn as it has every day for a millennium unceasing.
I speak to you on behalf of my [siblings/assemblage/self] and the people we represent in the great depths of this nebula to announce our presence on the galactic scale.
For many years we have had reason to stay quiet. Our political situation is precarious and we have learned to be the smaller prey so the hunters remain uninterested in our trail.
But their Interest has found us regardless and my [siblings/assemblage/Genet] has chosen and received permission to approach the stage with open hands instead.
Notes from our [nobles/sponsors/admins] have asked us to mention the beautiful views from the garden arcs and the rich cultural tapestry the Orbit has woven. Of all the things we have held through our decline tourism has been the most resilient and I would encourage it from you. But the story I wish to tell of us is not as a destination but as a people. [Orbiters/vagrants/miners/gardeners/nobles] lie between the interests of two great powers who would fight over the scraps of another. It is this great conflict that has left us in dec—
[GENET-ORBIT///RECALLED.DELIBERATING] [REFRAME/RETREAD/RECOUNT] [VOICE:::OA03V-Joy]
What Akakia meant to say is that we'd be happy to have you! The Rose is beautiful this time of year (and every year!) and we are standing by to receive your inquiries!
ooc: Hey! This is Pen (@drabasp), also known for @neramontagueofficial and this is the Orbit of Glass, a collaborative worldbuilding and storytelling project that I'm looking forward to doing with everyone! If anyone has been wondering what I've been up to recently, it's this. I have a lot of plans here and I'm looking forward to what everyone else is up to.
The setting doc I've built for this lives here. This is an evolving setting doc but is a good indication of where I'm at at any given moment.
I also set up a Discord server for this here for ease of ooc communication and because I already have one shot ideas in mind for this setting that I plan on eventually running! I ask that you be 18+ if you join, but otherwise I'm happy to see you!

If the olive branch is held by those who would ask us to serve politely I will recognize it damn well for what it is.
You claim to be Karrakin is to bow politely before the nobles, in bleak ignorance of your own history. What, do you think Passacaglia won over the Pasha by politely asking them not to kill him? Do you think that the end of the Anno was brought about by those descendants of his deciding politely that it's time for someone new?
No, no great change in our history was brought about without war and revolution, Ezariah, and the people rising up to declare no more is an act far more sanctioned by the Passions than your damned propriety. Your peers have taught us that there is no power without the gun you use to enforce it, and we have risen to take those guns into our own hands to make our own world.
It is a good one. Sanjak is prosperous without Ludra to leech the life from her, if you're wondering. I would invite you to see it but for the fleet that hangs in our orbit and the knowledge that all you would see in our world is an amusement park to hunt in and not the beauty that it is.

~ Salutations ~
While I am not fond of dealing with Ungratefuls, I do find your selection of music quite entertaining, especially while hunting.
Could you provide a piece for pursuing a flying predator? If so I can at least tell my fellows there are some good things still coming from Ludra's World.
~~ Ezariah Dahar Huin III, of the House of Glass ~~
This is such a politely worded request for the sheer fucking audacity it contains, Ezeriah Dahar Huin III.
You would name my home as it has not been called for 400 years but by those who would wipe us off of it, lead with your distaste for our movement, and still request our music so you can "at least tell my fellows there are some good things still coming from Ludra's World."
Do you hear yourself, Ezeriah? Did you think I would be honored by this? It is a series of insults with a request for the ignobles to play music for your entertainment laid on top, like you think it is an olive branch and not the demand it is.
I'm sure you "meant well." Here is your song, maybe it will inspire you to think some things over.

What might someone such as yourself recommend for a minor noble looking to leave behind the nobility? It’s not exactly something they teach you how to effectively do in the Cavalry College.
Ha! You've come to an interesting person with this question, friend, as most of the nobles I have helped leave were running with their families with guns at their backs! I can try to help, but most of my answer will come to this: I do not know you, and my allies in the Republicans are probably the best to ask for how to leave your title with the least amount of friction.
But! I can tell you what I know of this process. I assume that you are not the acting head of your house, but instead one among many nobles based on the way you speak of yourself. I am told among many noble houses you are free to renounce your name and titles and live without your house, but your local Republicans probably know more about how you can do this while making sure that you will have a place to land and maximize the amount of impact you can make doing this.
If you are the acting head of your house, you have more options. You can dissolve your house and distribute your assets to the people if this is the case, and frame this as a concession to the Republicans in your territory, which lets them be the ones to fill the power vacuum.
The important part is finding the Republicans where you live and speaking to them about this. They will know your circumstances better than me, and they will be able to help you more than this old Sanjak partisan can. I am best at helping you when you need to run.

Ah, you mourn our industry, and our great farming enterprises, and the thought does not arrive in your mind that we would be producing great excess for no one, because your guns are trained on anyone who might trade with us. You learned well from Ludra, breaking our legs and crying about how we Sanjak are so pathetic that we cannot even run.
It is funny, by the way, that you have not seen the new settlements. It tells me that your vision of success is trained only on what excess you can serve Union. It does a dog like you good to be happy simply doing the task they want of you. It means they have to train you on fewer treats.
Outside of that line of vision we live for ourselves and gather what we need. We have no eye to what we must serve the universe because you have denied us the ability to give beyond our words, so we have turned instead to living for ourselves. This may seem foreign to you, that we would seek to serve each other, but I assure you this: people retain the capacity to love.
We deny it only to those who would sit above. We deny it to the hand that demands and returns crumbs. We deny it to those who would take our freedom and call it liberation, who would move the border from the ground to the sky, who would see us seeking freedom and offer instead the bullet.
Why do people keep saying we work with Harrison Armory? They're actively donating weapons to Union for free to help with killing our soldiers and destroying our ships faster.

Oh, so you don't grovel at the feet of Hyderad-Cannamos? You wouldn't bow deeply to the Prime Baron? The thing I have learned about you nobles, Ferdinand, is that for each of you wearing the boot there is someone standing above you whose leather you are happy to polish.
But maybe you are unloyal. Maybe you demand we ignoble wait upon you while you would spurn those you should serve. Would you be the disobedient dog, then? I doubt it. You seem to do well to sit and speak at the behest of your master. Or do only ignobles get the animal metaphors?
Sanjak is already beautiful, and if we were left in peace and allowed the basic movement granted to everyone else it would also be plentiful. You know this because Ludra knew this. But you deny us this because you cannot bear to not be above. It is pathetic. You know you cannot convince us to submit to your rule except by the gun and so now you must sit on your hands in our skies because your (yes, also your) Union masters will not let you shoot.

First of all, "lol," as the kids say, at the noble bootlicker crying about the "miserable squalor into which a handful of ideologues have plunged their people."
Second, when was the last time you spoke to anyone on Sanjak you didn't try to shoot?
(People you would shoot if you weren't talking over the omninet don't count.)

Susan, I already told you about the only "secret meeting" I know about. You're welcome to come if you run the blockade.

Opinions on the nobility who keep their status for the sole purpose of influencing the structure towards the favour of the people?
I am have been on the record on this very extensively in the past: I do not make apologies for nobles, and I have very little confidence in the ability of the nobles to bend the structure in favor of the people because they are structurally, necessarily, not of the people.
Look at the nobles around you. Look at the ones above you. They are born to a life of luxury and power and aesthetic excess. They brag of being raised to a life of power and in the process are insulated from the people they rule. This is by design. This is what nobility, the structure, is meant to do.
How can you bend the structure towards the favor of the people when it is built first to remove them from power? When its entire purpose is to isolate power in the hands of those who are born away from us in great palaces with people who wait on them hand and foot? You tear the structure apart.
The Republican movement is large already and growing, but planets have not become Republican through the charity of their nobles and their goodwill and the turning of their hearts. Sanjak was won through blood, Bo was won through blood, Umara, too, was won through great struggle in the wake of nuclear scouring. In those times the nobility who has truly made change have been the ones who eschewed their titles and passed their holdings and their arms to the people. Their greatest act of love to the people was to deny the privileges of their birth and to become of the people, because they were certainly not born to it, and holding on to the titles and the holdings and the art would only serve to insulate them further. They would choose what they think the people are for from what is convenient for them. Liberals continue to do this by clinging onto all of the smallest things that can justify their power while ignoring the structure that allows the abuses of their peers. In the process they prize the opinions of nobles still above all. Listen to their justifications. How many of them remain appeals to the broader nobility? It is not for the people, they have simply painted their pride in a new coat of paint and said it is for you, not for them.
Look at those who cling to their titles even in the places that turn to Republicanism. Look at those who make apologies for the structure they just happen to sit on top of while their peers shower misery upon the masses.
At best they're cowards. At worst they're malicious. Until they realize that it is the structure and not "a few bad nobles" that is the problem here they remain a barrier to the New Era regardless.
