Jaune walked into the break room, tossing a bottled water to Yang. She tried to catch it with her robotic arm that wasn't there out of reflex, the plastic bottle smacking into her unfazed face.

Jaune Squinted: Burned Blake's hand, huh?

Yang: Yup...

Yang looked up, Jaunes Armor all gone, only adorning a tank top.

Yang: Burned Weisscreams face with your armor while hugging?

Jaune: Yyyyup.

Jaune plopped down next to his fellow blond, both sighing.

Jaune/Yang: Vacuo heat sucks.

Weiss: Almost done. Making a cake for Jaune took a lot more work than I thought. But it's what he deserves

The cake had a crude looking Juniper in the center, its eyes lopsided.

Winter squinted, noticing the thirty plus candles on the cake.

Winter: Apologies Weiss, but the candles. Aren't you a little...off?

Weiss: Huh? Oh, you're right! *Puts even more candles on the cake*

Jaune stumbled through the sand on their way to Vacuo

He felt his arm grabbed and wrapping around someone to ease up his footing.

Weiss: Having trouble, oh Rusted Knight?

Jaune smiled: Twenty years shaved off your life, making walking kinda rough. Long walks in the sand are not helping.

Weiss: Lucky for you. I happen to have a free shoulder to support you.

Jaune: Weiss...I...thank you.

Weiss, smiling: Someone has to look out for you.

Yang: Uh, sis, you okay? Your face looks like you ate some sand the wind blew in.

Ruby, squinting: I let one kiss shock me, I won't let the next surprise me!

Yang/Blake: Huh?

Not every great change is huge at the start. It's a little, barely visible string of events.

Ruby bumps into Penny, who later becomes friends with her despite Penny's insecurities of being 'not human'.

Who later fights for Ruby and grows a tight bond even after dying and being resurrected. A bond so strong she goes against her protocol, rules, and laws to support Ruby despite being unsure herself.

The Winter Maiden sees how human Penny is from her emotions she gained from her loved ones. Used those powers and her very life force to lift Amity to broadcast to the WHOLE WORLD to warn them about Salems existence and actually working!

Although she died, Penny still helped bring the world together because of a bond that had lasted multiple lives.

Ruby: Vacuo, our signal did go through to everyone! Our friends are waiting for us!

Yang: Woah, slow down, Ruby!! We can't keep up! *grabs Blake's hand* Hurry, or we'll lose her!

Blake: *giggles and runs with Yang.*

Weiss: ...

Jaune: Weiss? Are you okay? If we don't hurry, we'll be left behi-UMPH!"

Weiss grabbed Jaunes's face, giving it a hard look. Her fingers puckering his face.

Jaune: Bweiss?

Weiss nodded and softly slid her hand over Jaunes face, tapping his chin a few times.

Weiss: No. Shaving.

Jaune blinked as he watched his past crush walk away, dumbfounded. But a smile slowly rose as he rubbed his own chin.

Jaune: Yes, Ma'am.
