     i reckon you guys could already guess, but i’m going to be putting this blog on hiatus. there’s just a lot stressing me at the moment, and my cat still hasn’t returned home. so until further notice ( most likely two weeks or so from now, hopefully ), this blog will be going onto hiatus. i’m falling behind in school, busy with work, lost my cat, and my sister’s wedding is coming up so i’m very occupied as of recent.

     hope you guys understand.

     such is a girl whose lost far too much already.    how  she  misses      her mother   --    everyone tells her to forget, to move on,    but it is      through her mother’s death she truly bloomed and grew her thorns.      it  is  her  mother  that  reminds  her  of  everyone  she’s  fought  to      protect; her family, her friends, the citizens  --  it is everyone she’s      lost that drives her forward.   she will not falter.   she will keep this      world safe   --   she is the hero this world lost, that this world needs.

     hood is pulled over head, eyes are cast down. there’s an expression of distress and sadness on her face. a grave in front of her – ‘ SUMMER ROSE / kindly thus i scatter, ’ is engraved deeply into stone. it’s been years since her mother passed, but she’s lost more and it’s here she mourns. cloak is drawn tight around her shoulders; it’s winter, and it’s cold. winter, she thinks of weiss – her partner she hasn’t seen in months. she wonders how she fares, whether she misses ruby or not ( she hopes its a yes ). 

      she thinks of blake, and it’s a strange feeling that settles in her stomach – she misses blake, and she feelts guilty, GUILTY for letting blake go. and guilt makes her think of yang; if only she had been there, if only she hadn’t been so caught up in other things. it’s FAMILY that comes first – and she had failed her. she can feel the tears prick at her eyes, her hands tremble, and a quiet, choked-back sob leaves her lips. she misses them – her TEAM, but she remembers they’re not GONE, they’re not DEAD.

     “ m–mom… i wanted to be a great huntress like you, ”

     it’s penny that’s gone – a girl, her friend she failed to protect. just a second too late ( it always seems like she’s too late. ) even with a semblance of speed, she’s too slow, she’s not fast enough, she’s not strong enough. she recalls the blood leaving her face, remembers the feeling of her heart DROP. she knew what would have happened, but still, she found herself unable. it’s pathetic. she’s not worthy of becoming a huntress. 

     “ but all i’ve done is let my FRIENDS DOWN, i’ve let YOU down. ”

     and it’s also pyrrha – a hero, her lover. she’s gone, she’s dead. and it’s another second too late.    she watched that arrow pierce a pure heart, and it had been anger that took over her; distress, fear, anguish. how she wishes she could turn back time and save her. she’s step in front of that arrow in a heartbeat, if it meant pyrrha could live. but it’s too late, and it’s her fault. two lives – on HER. she’s only fifteen, far too young for all she’s seen. 

     “ everyone says it’s not my fault, that i actually did something GREAT – the big grimm thing is frozen because of me, but… how am i supposed to be happy about that if they’re gone? i… i miss you mom, i wish you were here. it was good talking to you. ” 

     tears are wiped away, and then she’s gone just as quick as she came.
