Peter Quill has ADHD. Sorry, but it's true. I don't make the rules.

He's:

Emotionally reactive (like snapping and punching Thanos)

Listens to music constantly, even while doing important things and especially when he has any free time whatsoever (stimulation seeking)

Afraid of abandonment, i.e his reaction to Ego, feeling threatened by Thor, and his behavior towards New Gamora (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria)

Comes up with unconventional plans that others are skeptical of, though they actually work, i.e his dance-off with Ronan (neurodivergent thinking)

Works better under-pressure - or rather only works under pressure (first battle scene of GOTG3)

Being overall impulsive

Has fixations/special interest on certain topics - in his case, David Hasselhoff and other forms of pop culture

Stims sometimes, i.e throwing the orb around in GOTG1 and tossing around another type of orb in GOTG3 (that I will not name here for spoiler reasons)

Questions authority and arbitrary rules to the point of being seen as careless or disobedient

He talks so much omg he talks so much, ie. calling people long strings of insults, using talking as a distraction (and surprisingly out of most of the male characters in the MCU) talks to emotionally vent.

He's literally funny in a way only ADHD people can be and im sorry but i mean that ('You're from Earth?' - 'I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri.')

He'd absolutely find this list too long to read and would skim it.

Crazy that it’s been one year (feels like longer) since I filmed the primary scene of my short film ‘Skin’ at the @ventnorexchange. What an experience that was. I filmed a couple more scenes in the weeks that followed but this was the one that featured my full cast and gave me the best taste of what directing was. I look back on the film and I’m proud. It’s not perfect but I made it work with the time and budget constraints that I had. I was lucky enough to have the support of some amazing people and the talent of a wonderful cast. Now the film is getting a bit more notice and reaching new audiences. I’m now, more than ever, excited to move onto the next one. 2022 Highlights - Creative/goal wise I released my first short film, performed at Ventnor Fringe again, learned to ride a bike, performed at Rhythm-tree festival, performed at Victorious festival and performed at the Ventnor Exchange’s 8th birthday! Friendship wise I spent time with a whole lot of the closest people in my life and also made some truly great new friends. Other wise I went to London 9 times for various shows including seeing some of my favourite podcasts live as well as one of my favourite YouTube channels. I also saw the wonderful My Neighbour Totoro stage play and played the 2 incredible Last of Us Games. Let’s see what 2023 will bring! Happy New Year everyone! Just completed my first playthrough of both The Last of Us games in prep for the show. What a monumental experience. Both masterpieces. Both incredibly fun to play with brilliant characters, superb writing and stunning visuals. I went into the first one with the expectations of everyone’s hype and jumped straight into the second which I knew next to nothing about. I love the first game but the second won me over with its thematically powerful story, deft character work and beautiful level design. It’s a gruelling experience but I adored how it handled the story and developed it’s characters. The introduction of Abby initially surprised me but I was quickly won over by her and loved the way the story gave her purpose and made you root for her. Of course I absolutely adored the first game too but both were played one after the other so I just love the world of the games. Bring on the show. Wow. Wow. One of the best theatre experiences of my life. Never thought I’d see My Neighbour Totoro on stage but I did and I’m blown away by it. Simply some of the best stage design and puppetry ever created. Plus Incredible performances and the wonderful music of Joe Hisaishi (wild we saw this before his concert we were meant to see months ago) The Totoro puppet is a goddam work of art. My jaw dropped when I saw it and all the sets are masterful. What a beautiful adaptation of the Studio Ghibli masterpiece. If you can, go see this.
