Well you hanging out with Dream to keep tabs on him could lead to Dream using that tidbit next time he goes after Tommy. He could take you hostage or kill you because he thinks Tommy cares for you and then taunt him with it. He could ask you to do something that down the line would lead to it hurting Tommy... Many things could happen.

dream isn't that stupid, chat. i'm sure he's capable of figuring out that tommy doesn't want me around! and even if for some reason something like that did happen, i'd deal with it. there's no point obsessing over hypotheticals

Just saying. Dream's good at making someone think they're in control or they're doing something small then they find themselves all knotted in his threads. So, I'm again asking, if by some misfortune, what you're doing is going to be used against Tommy to hurt him, what will you do?

again, how would me keeping tabs on dream be used to hurt tommy? i really feel like that's a clarification that has to happen first before i'll be able to know what i'd do about it
