So I literally just discovered the YT through an old Oboeshoes video and honestly it fucked me up how dark and deep this shit got. Did you always plan on things like Denmark, The Afraid and Gali's arc or did you just one day decide "Yup gonna fuck y'all up good now"

the entire thing with trans pieces was a concept from rb 1, but the plot exploration with rb 2 made me realize i could go way further and that's when gali/sockets and the denmark machine were all formed. the plot has been in my head since 2014 and has been outlined since 2018

There will be a 10th anniversary video for Reviving Bionicle with actual news coming out on the 15th of this month. It'll be a mixture of a life update that will also include stuff about the future of the series with some reflection of its past.

This card’s front features a poster I’m still making small tweaks too and wanted to post fully later, and the back has small synopsis of the series.

Hi all, just a heads up, I will not have anything shown on the BIONICLE Day event. (8/10, specifically)

I could try to throw together an update/poster/other goodies for that day and post them on this blog, but nothing will be on the official 810NICLE Day stream. I simply don’t have enough done to show off and I won’t be able to finish what I originally had planned for it by the due dates.

Still shooting for a 2023 release of episode 5, and wishing all the best to everyone else who’s part of 810.

Hey everyone. This Saturday (April 1st) at 3 pm eastern is going to be a marathon of Reviving Bionicle on my twitch!

I’ll be joined by Eljay of TTV and JSLBrowning of Wall of History in live commentary.

We’re going to try to watch it all, but the entire thing is 4 and a half hours, so we’re just gonna go for as long as we can.

Reviving Bionicle in 2023 (10-year Anniversary Update)

2023 is fast approaching and that means one thing: so is episode 5.

This is it. This is the end of the series. I gotta bring my A game in writing, production value, everything.

It has to be the best thing I've ever made.

Where is everything standing though? Well, it's still an outline. It won't be soon! I am getting a new laptop for school, and I have free time in between a few classes this semester, and I'm gonna use that as "writing time". I'm expecting a first screenplay draft around February, and I'll use the rest of the year to film this ridiculous mountain of a project… if some people who volunteered to read it (and agreed to be quiet about it) give it the green light.

It’s going to be… a long script.

Right now, however, I'm stuck because I don't have that previously mentioned laptop. (my current one is having difficulty even writing this into the Tumblr post editor). I enjoy writing in a nice environment, like a calm coffee shop or something. I’m really excited to write this thing. Last time I wrote everything at work and that was not optimal. This time I’m going to do it right.

I'm sure there will be a trailer at some point. I don't know when, though. Right now I will say this- if everything goes to plan, 2023 is definitely the release year. 2022 wasn't easy and I was consistently sabotaged youtube-wise all year. I will totally give you a all a heads up if the 2023 release changes.

It’s coming! It really is! I’m going for the gold on this one. I hope I’ve shown that I can prove myself, despite the long wait. I’m gonna prove myself again.

Is the music in Kopaka's fight scene in S4ep3 a remix of Kumo Rocks? Huge fan of your bionicle stuff, it really got me back into Bionicle!

yup, named "kumo rusts" by Jorge (the composer). I almost used kumo rocks straight up but paul hardcastle was apparently copyright claiming his songs, so Jorge came up with that on his guitar

Extra 8/10 info

In 2 days the short will premiere on the 810NICLE day livestream! Here's a quick Q&A:

Where can I watch it? Go to their website here and go to the "watch" tab. The twitch stream will be right there.

When is it? 4 pm eastern, August 10th. You should see it in your local time on the "schedule" tab on the website too.

How long is it? 6 minutes and 20 seconds.

Will this be on YouTube? The stream VOD will be on YouTube on another channel, but I'm not posting this to mine.

Why not? Doesn't seem like it'd fit on there.

Is it canon to the RB storyline? Not really. This is meant to be a goofy one-off. There's a (VERY) small preview for RB 4 EP 5 at the end though, which is canon.

Does this video reflect your actual, personal thoughts on some subjects? No. I looked at these events through the lens of the characters, to see how they would react to these things. I think it's more interesting that way. (can't say much else without spoilers)
