I am SICK AND TIRED of people whining what a bad leader Halsin is because 1. This was a DELIBERATE character flaw and 2. Everyone who complains seems to always miss the fact that this happened because Halsin was terribly failed by the Druidic leadership.
He wasn't prepared in any way for leadership IE wasn't taught how to do it, which means best case scenario they just never had him in mind as a successor to the previous Archdruid, and worst case scenario means that well, guess what, his predecessor wasn't good either!
THEN the Shadow Curse happens and the Archdruid dies along with most of the others. And the Emerald Enclave, the super-organization for the Emerald Grove, responds by doing absolutely nothing to support him, even when he becomes "overly fond of honey mead and melancholy evenings by [himself]" in his own words (IE clearly struggling so badly with depression and PTSD that he's self-medicating with alcohol). Then they decide the best approach is forcing him to become the leader for what's left of his fellow Druids, with zero support, mentorship from other Groves, nothing. He even says how this traumatized him twice, by killing most of his friends, and costing him the rest by putting him in a leadership position over them that meant the rest could never be his peers again. This in turn caused him so much stress from the combination of his new role and the trauma of the preceding event that he began to romanticize his past as a sex slave, longing for it again just because he didn't have to deal with this.
And rather than, you know, helping support their new Archdruid AT ALL, checking on him AT ALL, you know what the Emerald Enclave does? Nothing. To the point that there's a note written by Halsin lamenting that they won't help him with the Shadow Curse, but that "maybe" he need not face the darkness alone. Leaving him to be COMPLETELY ALONE for a century not only in his attempts to try and cure his literal homeland, but in his transition to a leadership role as well, meaning NO guidance on if he was doing the right thing or the wrong thing. MEANWHILE, the other Druids sure did seem uninterested in helping him out, yet also were always the first one to jump in with criticism for his perceived failings. (I guess it's possible that ALL of the Druids complaining about him at the start of the game joined after the Curse, but most of them are longer-lived races- at least some of them had to have been around then.) The only one interested in taking the burden was Kagha and that was to advance her own ends and seize the power, not to help her mentor with his burden at ALL.
So for Halsin to get to a point where he abandons his Grove first to go with Aradin to try and find a cure for the Curse, and then to join the player, without a thought? That's not him being a bad leader and giving no fucks about his Grove or the Druids in it- that's him being so traumatized and having been failed by EVERYONE around him for a century to the point that he has no ability to cope anymore, and given the choice between leading and correcting what he's been allowed to blame himself for for 100 years because NO ONE around him cared to ask how he was doing after the deaths of all their peers, he chose to fix what he alone has carried the burden of for, let me repeat, 100 years.
Like are people just not thinking over the implications of Halsin's lines at all here or?

Since I seem to find and reach more Disco Elysium Fans here than anywhere else:
I'm posting Kim Kitsuragi Cosplay Videos over on the clock-app. If you're interested, I would love some support. I know it's not the best cosplay, I don't have the gloves or the make-up-skills for his beard-shadow yet, but I still put a lot of thought and effort into it.

I need a story where Deku finds out about Batman and the whole Batfam in general - ordinary humans that got to be heroes with self-made gadgets.
Any fanfic recommendations, please?

You know what isn't a thing? Druids retaining traits of their favorite wildshape when not in animal form.
You know what Halsin often mentions? Having a bear's enhanced sense of smell.
You know what werebears have even out of bear form?
You guessed it.
Therefore, werebear Halsin

DC fanfic prompt
Reporter Clark Kent: "Mr Wayne, do you have a minute for an interview?"
Bruce, who maybe already knows that Clark is Superman, playing up the Brucie-Persona: "Maybe if you drop to your knees and bark like you want it"
Fanboy Clark: *gets on his knees, now looking up at Bruce* "please"
Bruce, thinking: damn, this is doing things to me.
Inspiration:
Every Fanboys Dream by Murmeloni
And this video with similar text, but it's Lois x Clark :

This explains perfectly why we want to keep cash.  Be it dollar signs or pound signs, the principle is exactly the same.

The sheer entitlement some people, including cis people and trans women, feel to transmasc bodies never ceases to horrify me.
Telling trans men not to transition because they will be ugly. Telling trans men their breasts are so (insert adjective here) and why would they ever waste them? "Warning" them that they could end up with male pattern baldness or facial hair, as though masculine features are a nightmare scenario instead of something they want. Sneering that they must actually want to be feminine anime boys, as though it's an implicit truth that not even trans men do or should want masculinity- as though it's a given that all they would ever want is femininity even while striving for masculinity. As though it's a given that masculinity is something so vile and repulsive that not even a trans man would want it. As though it's a given that trans men are just too dumb to know what they really want, and need other, non-transmasculine people to explain what they are actually signing up for.
The sheer entitlement of thinking you are allowed, on the basis of what you find more attractive (a pre-transition trans man vs a post-transition trans man) to suggest someone refrain from seeking lifesaving healthcare. The lack of awareness to do this while refusing to see that this is no different than the disgusting "save the boobies" campaigns used for breast cancer awareness. The sheer infantilization of thinking trans men don't actually understand what they're doing and the sheer minimization to claim that isn't actually what they want.
Transmasc bodies, both pre and post transition, deserve admiration just as much as transfemme bodies. They shouldn't be mocked for their "peach fuzz", they should be encouraged and cheered for it. They shouldn't be mocked for hair loss, and their bottom growth should never be sneered at. It's fine not to vibe with masculinity, but the least you could do is pretend to be happy for a trans person who is experiencing gender euphoria for the first time in their life, even if those changes would induce dysphoria in you.
If you tell a trans man they would be "so pretty" if they never transitioned, you are a transandrophobe, a more general transphobe, and you know what? You're just in general a bad person. How dare you put your perceived right to the aesthetic enjoyment of looking at a trans man's body over their right to livesaving healthcare.
Trans men deserve better.

My Genderfluid Body-/Gender-Dysphoria really just goes to proof that Gender and their assigned Roles or "how they are supposed to look like" are a societal Construct, which sadly still works in our brains even if we are aware of them.
TW : body issues; negative self talk
On my masc day I feel to short and round to be properly masculine.
On a fem day I think my shoulders and face are to broad to be properly feminine.
For masc time my chest is too big & perky
For fem my boob's are to saggy and small/unshapely
In a no-gender mindset, I have too much Gender-Representation in/on me to be androgynous; in a both-"binary-genders"-at-the-same-time mindset I don't have enough.
It's driving me insane 🙂
But I also wouldn't have it any other way. Are there days where I wish I was cis? Yeah, because then the bigotry towards the trans-community and individuals wouldn't affect me directly every single day. But that's the point: I want people to stop being mean to me & my friends, that's actually the wish here. I don't actually wanna be a different person with a different identity. I love beeing me, I love beeing trans, I love beeing genderfluid, because that is just me, and I don't really wanna delete the unique queer experience I have. But that experience, beautiful as it is, is already hard enough without transphobia in the mix.

@staff Why is that when you search Tumblr for the words "transphobia" or "transmisogyny" nothing shows up but if you search "tranny" you get ton of hits? Same is true for if you search for "racism" nothing comes but if you type a racial slur... A ton of hits. It's like this site is more concerned with censoring people talking about transphobia and racism than it is concerned with censoring transphobia and racism. What gives?

I'm this 🤏 close to going off on my professor.
We are talking about Timothy Morton in our Ecopoetry Seminar, and the prof told us in the beginning that Morton uses they/them pronouns, so far so good, basic human decency fulfilled.
But then he keeps on using he/him for them?! Every time he does it it's like a stab in the gut, and I'm getting increasingly angry and also just sad. If this prof doesn't even use the right Pronouns for Morton, how is he talking about me?
One point I have to make is that this is a German prof, German seminar etc. We don't have a clear word for they/them. But he could either use they/them anyway, it works, I tried it plenty, and there is also the option of using dey/deren/denen which is pretty much the german equivalent, but it got forgotten over time and is now brought back by the enby-community.
I have way to much social anxiety to actually correct him, or my fellow students for that matter (the students are trying their best tho, they are trying... he isn't.)

Lights out commentary
Aly, when everyone you're close to tells you not to treat the guy, because you're obviously putting yourself in danger - how about you just don't f-ing treat that guy. This is gonna backfire so horribly, I can already see it... (not that the backfiring would be her fault, he ist probably a monster and would have done that regardless)
