watching the mcc reddit lose their mind has been fun. I do get that it s gonna get confusing, especially for stats (and i personally love stats), but if this is part of an effort to transform the event into a more chill competition, then i m all for it. I personally don t love the name change, but i ve seen a lot of people worried about mcc becoming less competitive and it s like yh that s the point lol. If you like more sweaty events, then mcc is NOT for you, it s always been the least sweaty minecraft event by far, you can go watch pandora s box or mayhem (which i honestly also love). Each event has its unique vibes, and that s great, and mcc should not change and become more competitive to make a few players and their toxic audience happy, because that s not what it is the event is about!! So yeah, do i like the name change? Lol no. But i for sure hope it means we are getting a more fun mcc that is more loyal to its roots. I also hope this attracts new players with good vibes, regardless their level (im really hoping for skizz, soupforeloise, mysticat and cleo personally), as well as people that got tired of mcc but might be interested by the changes (PLEASE REN, PHIL, LIZZIE, KATHERINE, QUIG). And i hope the more toxic players dislike this shit and go fuck off lol (you know who im talking about). Sorry for the rant

I looked at two (2) comments on the orange app and closed it for my mental stability lmao.

I do genuinely love stats and spreadsheets and I have a huge amount of respect for the dedicated people who maintain them. But it becomes some sort of tool to prove their streamer is the best in MCC and... I am getting the feeling that people (players, Noxcrew, audience) don't like that type of comparison mentality. Why are you so harsh on your GOAT streamer for stepping out of the top 10 for ONCE. Can we let them breathe and have fun.

Maybe if people treated MCC vods more like a story or a fun minigame stream with friends they would less pressed and disappointed about their highly regarded streamer dropping out of top ten for one time. You know, just for personal enjoyment.

Noxcrew I support your decision to burn things to the ground if you wish (complimentary) 🔥 I feel like I'll still be using numbers because it'll be easier to tag and sort but YESS BLUR THE LINE!! Reduce the competitiveness! Bring the fun and whimsical vibes back!

Now that MCC is coming back, can we take a second to appreciate how Rendog has personally never stepped off the MCC9 podium. He got a crown once and becomes obsessed with it in multiple universes and made it everyone's problem. He put on his AS skin for a Decked Out run to channel the winner's energy. Still talks about Dodgebolt (he has literally been in one single Dodgebolt). If he can't win something, he pushes for False to win it. It rewrote his own character lore. He became a champion and then became a king. It all started from there— MCC9 Blue Bats.

It's funny that I remember in MCC S2B / S3, people were getting concerned about the longevity of MCC and the imbalance between for fun / competitiveness but none of the solutions seemed to work and everyone was like "yeah, unfortunately it is what it is" then Noxcrew comes in like a wrecking ball like "what if we removed numbers. lmao" and the community goes 👀

Noxcrew I am watching your career with mild interest. Yesss burn the ultra Reddit-esque sweatiness / constant comparsion to the ground. Yessss bring back the silliness of MCC. After all the shit that's been happening in the broader mcyt community for the past year, MCC comeback real?

i love spopera because at first glance it seems like your typical treebark + ensemble cast fic but noooo false is up there in the main character trio and it's about sports (based after mcc) so someone like pete will have more main plot relevance than, let's say, grian, and i dig it so much. spopera is so much because it has such a large cast and you can put anything in it, but i also love the focus on our mismatched ensemble cast <3
