zh: and then obviously, you have input every day as an actor, because ultimately, you’re the one who’s performing the scene. So they can reel you in one way or the other, but you are the person who’s bringing the words to life. So we have choices, we have the ability to make choices in the performance, and sometimes it ends up in the edit and sometimes it doesn’t.

dj: I sat in with Robert and we read a few other actors that were choices for Richie, some really super talented guys whose names you would definitely recognize and you would know their work.

zh: They ended up not being available so they had to give the job to me.

dj: No, not true at all. The second Zane came in, it just clicked. We had a really good time. Robert was just smiling the whole time and laughing while we were playing. After Zane left the room, I could just see him. He's got this smirk he does and this little laugh. The second I saw that I was like, “All right, that's the guy.” There was nobody else for the part. Zane's crushing it.

Did you feel any pressure playing a character who’d been played by Quentin Tarantino?

zh: I had to ignore it, because if I went in there with that weighing on my mind, I wouldn’t be able to do the character justice. If I went in worried about that, it would hinder my abilities as an actor, so I just put that aside and did the best that I could.

zh: I was hoping. I was like, “I guess I just have to bide my time and see when the scripts for Episode Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten roll out and make sure that I make it out of the Twister alive.” So I was happy to survive the first season.
