Starting off this blog with the most recent and probably one of the most important events in rtc fandom history

On August 13th 2023 (yesterday at the time I’m writing this), there was a post with a link to a YouTube video.

The YouTube video was by the creator “allergic” and it contained the full audio of the cut song for Ocean, “Play to Win”. The channel also had The Ballad of Jane Doe and Space Age Bachelor Man from the same audio recording posted.

Some people spoke to allergic as well as did some digging and that lead them to SoundCloud.

The audio recording turned out to be a showcase from 2015 before the American Tour had started where they performed songs from the Canadian version of RTC as well as talked about what the show was like at the time

It was posted on SoundCloud by the old tour bus driver Saul (who HATED the American Tour version of RTC). It had also been on SoundCloud for two months prior to it being found and shared.

The song list includes Tragic Fact, Jane Doe’s Entrance, U.R.A.N.I.U.M., That Fucked Up Girl (Noel’s Lament), Play to Win, This Song is Awesome, Talia, The Ballad of Jane Doe, Small Things Become Big Things, Space Age Bachelor Man, Jawbreaker + Sugar Cloud, It’s Just a Ride (idk if it had a different name at the time), and La-La Love.

Keep in mind, this specific recording had been lost media for 8 years, and the songs themselves had been lost media since 2008 (i believe)
