They wouldn’t stop you from leaving. They would leave their back to you, as you walked away and for good. They are logical, they reason with themself. They know you weren’t happy, and love you so much they’d rather see you happier with someone else than slowly breaking with them. They only ask their friends for small updates once in a while. They know they could never move on, and they never do.

It is so, so hard for them to let you walk away. They’re facing the direction you’re walking away from. Their arm is outreached, trembling with intense pain they’ve never felt before.
