Since my youth, the only constant that has remained is the unmitigated fear and existential terror I experience by looking at google earth.

I've tried microdosing it to achieve some sort of exposure therapy but it doesn't work and I do not like it.

That being said, I will probably continue to do so bc it's one of my favorite types of weather and I love to spend my free time outside when it's absolutely thrashing everywhere

I keep forgetting that thunderstorms are dangerous or whatever bc when I was growing up (rural NY) and the storm started my dad and I would grab the lawn chairs and go sit in it until it passed and now I'm 20 and just sat on top of my car for one and then thought "hmm maybe this isn't safe"

Guys, the more I think about it, the more I fear that they simply won't care about our input. Like shane and ryan, both went to school for filmography, and they've always wanted to make TV quality content. Every pod, they talk about some movie or other piece of film media. They love it. The yellow and blue text has always been enough for us, yes, but I worry that it will never be enough for them. Our devotion is irrelevant. It just really sucks that their values and goals don't seem to align with ours.

Okay, I gotta say something abt this bc it's just kinda pissing me off. The way that their description on their stupid site for are you scared says "reading the internet's scariest stories" rubs me the wrong way. Bc those stories were fan-submitted, like I personally specifically wrote a story for the series bc I love it so much. Idk maybe I'm reading to much into it but it feels like rubbing salt in the wound rn to not give that small credit to their audience.

I'm honestly just confused about why they chose to do this from an exposure standpoint. Like I'm not a business expert or anything, but they've mentioned multiple times on the podcasts that they struggle with promoting their content, and that was when they were still on YT. Even if they expected all of their current supporters to subscribe to this thing, how are they going to grow their audience if it's a streaming service with only their content behind a paywall?? On YouTube, it was easier because content from creators you dont follow pops up in your suggested videos all the time, but that won't apply here. There's no algorithm to attract viewership. It feels like they're trapping themselves in a box with the few people able/willing to pay for their content with no clear path to grow their numbers. It just doesn't make sense to me.

i'm seeing that y'all are gonna let watcher control the narrative and act like we misunderstood them and they were never gonna remove their stuff from youtube. you can say whatever you want about their streaming service, but one thing is a fact: they are lying to us pretending that was not their intention and we're spreading misinformation. we not only aren't stupid and understood the video correctly, but also they told variety that that's what they were doing.
