Summary: After a long day of being on patrol, Ellie needs to ground herself and what better way than to spend time with her pretty girl?
A/N: Original request here. I kind of trailed off a bit from the original idea but I hope you still like it. I haven't written anything in almost 2 months because I work so much ahh I'm so sorry. I'm working through all my requests currently.
CW: fluff

As Ellie made her way home from the stables, she felt her feet slightly dragging under her. She was exhausted. Going back and forth being on a horse and being on her feet took a huge toll on her body. Today had been a particularly difficult day for her and Jesse. They were scouting out a small town about 10 miles outside of Jackson. From what they knew it was empty and clear of the infected. Not only was it not clear of any infected but there were raiders around nearly every corner.
When she finally reached the chipped white door of the house you two shared she quietly opened the door, not wanting to disturb you. When she got back from jobs like this she liked to see you in your element naturally. Unaware that she was watching you. She loved seeing the way you effortlessly moved around the house. Baking her sweet treats or cleaning or reading or singing. Anything you did she absolutely adored. It always got her mind off of her harsh reality.
Tonight you were sprawled out on the couch in some shorts and one of Ellie's tattered tank tops. You had a headset on your head that connected to an old CD player. You were bouncing your leg to the beat the faintly played out of the headset. She stood there for a moment and observed your movements. You looked peaceful. She smiled to herself thinking about how she got to see you happy and safe after a long day.
She finally stepped into your gaze. Your eyes lit up.
"Els!" You beamed. You ripped the headset off and jumped up, wrapping your arms around her strong figure.
"Hey Y/N," She sighed into the embrace, holding you tightly for a moment.
When you pulled away you cupped her cheeks, exhaustion evident on her face. "Let's lay down lover." You said as you planted a kiss on her nose. She silently agreed as she took her jacket off, following you to the couch. She lied down on her back, opening her arms up for you to crawl into. You wrapped your arms around her torso and cuddled into her.
"Tell me about your day, babe." Ellie said. Her fingers were tracing patterns onto your back.
You yawned. "Well I got up and cleaned around the house and then I had to rush to the stables."
"You were working today?" Ellie asked.
"Yeah, what you didn't remember?" You giggled.
"No, it totally slipped my mind. I was out early with Jesse and we got home late, it was... a day." She sighed.
Your head perked up. "What happened? Everything okay?"
Her eyes moved to stare at the ceiling above you two, another sigh escaped her lips. She kept quiet for a moment, allowing her hands to rake through your hair.
"Els," You pressed again.
"It was supposed to be easy, Y/N/N," She began. "According to all the reports, there were no infected and the town was abandoned." You stayed quiet and squeezed her to let her know that it was okay and to go on. "And it fucking wasn't." You could almost feel her rolling her eyes.
"What?? Seriously? Are you okay?" A line of questions rolled off your tongue.
Ellie laughed. "I'm okay babe, it was just really tough today that's all." Her hands were subconsciously running through your hair and massaging your scalp. You sighed under her touch. Ellie wasn't going to explain any further about how shit her day was, because at the end of the day she got to come home to you and you were safe and happy to see her. That's all the mattered to her.
"I always worry about you when you go outside the walls." You said after a while. "I know you're strong but it just scares me thinking of all the things that could go wrong, you know?"
Ellie wrapped her arms around you, giving you a gentle squeeze. "I know, Y/N/N." She said as she kissed the top of your head.
"I could go with you sometime." You offered. "Keep an eye out." You were half joking with her as you knew she would never allow it. You took her silence as a hard no. Her fingers found their way back into your hair.
"I don't want to think about that." She said firmly. "And, I don't want to think about the shitty day I had so let's just..." Her voice trails off as she pulls you closer into her chest. "Let's just be here for a second with each other."
"Then talk to me about something else. Missed hearing your voice Els." You said, you sounded tired.
So she did. She talked to you about anything and everything. She told you about how Joel had taken her to this dinosaur museum when she was 16 for her birthday. She told you about when she saw a real fucking giraffe when she was on the run with Joel. You heard these stories before but you loved hearing her talk about Joel in any way she could. She even told you some stories from when she was on patrol with Jesse or Dina, stories you had never heard before probably because she knew you would scold her for being reckless.
After a while Ellie noticed that you were humming in response to what she was telling you. She peaked her head slightly forward to see you fast asleep. She smiled to herself, pulling the blanket that was hanging over the back of the couch onto the two of you. Her strong arms wrapped around you once more and she dozed off to sleep with you cuddled up onto her chest.

Imagine ellie doing something stupid on patrol to protect you and you getting upset with her. She never uses her head when it comes to you. She leads with her heart.
“You have such a big heart, Ellie.” You say softly, cupping her cheek. “But to keep us alive you have to use this too.” You tap a finger on her temple.
Ellie takes a moment to consider what you’re telling her. Begging her to use her head. All she does is smirk back at you “Well I’ve got you for that.”
Going to write this after I finish my requests!!

Make Me Your Queen
Summary: Ellie is a knight of the Kingsguard and your sworn protector.
A/N: "ser" means that person is a knight & the kings hand is the Kings closest council member/advisor & a fortnight is 14 days. Also homophobia does not exist in this!! I pictured the reader wearing this dress
CW: fluff
WC: 1.5k <3
Tumblr media
You sighed as your handmaids assisted you in slipping into your long, scarlet dress. The dress was beautiful but you would rather wear it for a different occasion.
Today you were set to meet Prince Jesse, who you would marry in a fortnight. The thought of having to marry him consumed you for the past three days. You didn't want to marry. You were the youngest of two brothers, two brothers who already had sons and daughters to be their heir to the throne. But this marriage was simply to form an alliance between your House and another.
"What troubles you, my lady?" A voice rang out.
After your handmaids finished lacing up your gown, you turned around. A grin snuck across your face. "Ser Ellie," You beamed, gliding over to her. You embraced her armored figure. "Give us the room please." You called out to your maidens.
After they cleared out you turned back to Ellie. "Have you heard?" You began.
She paused for a moment. You knew that she knew. "You're to be married... in a fortnight I hear. Very exciting, Princess."
You rolled your eyes at her comment. You sat down on the sage green lounger, inviting her to sit beside you. "I'm afraid I require your council, Ser Ellie."
"How so, my lady?" She asks cautiously, unsure of what you're planning to ask her.
"So yes, I'm set to marry Prince Jesse. But you know that I'm always one to follow my heart no matter what." Ellie was silent. She nodded for you to continue, her green eyes boring into yours. Her eyes were so pretty, you could stare into them all day.
She seemed like she wanted to say something, her lips parted and then pursed shut. "You have a duty to the kingdom, my Princess."
You shut your eyes. My Princess. You usually loved the nickname she had for you, but not while saying that. Before you could open your mouth to protest there was a knock at the door. Ellie stands up and walks over to the door, opening it slowly. Beyond the door was the Kings Hand and Ellie's father, Joel. He was your fathers closest and most trusted advisor.
"Pardon me, Princess Y/N. Your father wishes you meet him in the throne room. Prince Jesse's ship has arrived at the harbor. He will be expecting you." He spoke.
You sighed and glanced over at Ellie who's eyes were glued to the stone floor. "We will finish this conversation later." You said to the auburn haired girl.
"Yes, my lady." She smiled hesitantly.
On the way down to the throne room, Joel tried to talk to you but your mind was consumed with other thoughts. You were dreading meeting the prince. But most of all you were thinking about Ellie. The two of you had been close since you were children. Even then she was never one for dresses or lady like behavior. She was naturally gifted with a sword and in combat. You were there with her as she trained to be a knight. When you were sixteen she vowed to protect you, her best friend, from any harm that could be brought upon you. This moved you and brought the two of you closer. So close that you demanded your father appoint her to the Kingsguard. He granted your wishes and Ellie was forever grateful. It was a great honor to be your friend and your sworn protector. Thinking about your past with Ellie and the fate that was in store for you, you began to realize that you harbored feelings for your knight.
༊*·˚
After the meeting in the throne room, you found yourself running back to your room, tears streaming down your face. Ellie was hot on your trail. "Princess, what happened?" She called after you. You tried to slam your door, not wanting her to see you like this. She caught the door with her arm. She advanced towards you slowly. "Please, Y/N, tell me what's going on with you. Is this about the prince?"
"I don't want to marry, Ellie." You sobbed.
She looked at you with concerned eyes. "But you've always wanted to marry?"
"Not Prince Jesse." Your sobs grew louder the more your spoke.
Ellie seemed unsure of what to say, she was staring at you with worry. After a moment she finally spoke. "Let's take a walk to the beach, Princess."
You nodded and sniffled, wiping away your stray tears. With a deep breath you walked over to Ellie, interlinking your arms. "Let's get going then."
When the two of you got to the beach, you were met with the sounds of the waves crashing onto the sand. The moon was shining down brightly on your figures. You often found your selves here in this same spot when something troubled the other. You found comfort in many moonlit nights with Ellie.
"I do not want to marry this man, Ellie." You spoke after a while. You turned and grabbed her hands, delicately holding them in yours. "I asked you earlier what I should do. My heart is telling me there is something else for me. So do I follow my heart or do I do my duty."
You were nervous after your rambling. You were afraid it sounded too much like a confession. In a way it was. You were hopeful that your heart was telling you the right thing, that Ellie felt the same about you.
"I'm not sure what you want me to say, Princess." Ellie said. "What else does your heart desire?"
"Marry me, Ellie." Your mouth had moved faster than your brain, but you meant it with your entire heart.
Her mouth went agape. She shut her eyes and shook her head. "Y/N, I can't." She began to protest, taking her hands out of yours.
You grabbed them back, tightening your grip. "You can. We can. I know my heart isn't lying to me. I know you want to marry me too. I could see it from the moment you found out of my engagement." You were pleading with her to admit her feelings for you. Feelings you know she had.
"Princess, I'm just a knight. I can't marry you, I-"
You cut her off. "My father loves me and your father is his hand. I will demand it of him that he marries us. He will do it if I command. I don't want anyone else but you, Ser Ellie."
Her green eyes welled with tears. She shook her hands from your grip. She turned away and began to walk back up towards the castle. "I cannot marry you, Y/N. Marry the prince and fulfill your duty to the kingdom." She called back to you.
"Do you deny me then? Your princess." You yelled back to her. You hiked up you dress and began to run after her, your feet sinking into the sand as you ran. "Do you deny your feelings for me?"
She didn't say anything, she just continued her trek up the sandy hill back to the castle. You finally caught up to her and stepped in front of her path. "Y/N, please," Ellie sighed.
"You'll live a long time yet, Ellie, an eternity without me." You grabbed at her hands once more. Her gaze softened. "You will look into the faces of passersby hoping for something that will for an instant, bring me back to you."
"Princess why-" She tried to interject.
"You will find moonlit nights strangely empty, because when you call my name through them there will be no answer. Always your heart will be aching for me and your mind will give you the doubtful consolation that you did a brave thing." You stepped forward, reaching up to cup Ellie's flushed cheeks. You brought your forehead to hers. "Do not deny me, my Knight. Do not let me marry him." Your words came out as a whisper. Your hands felt tears running down her face.
"I love you, Y/N." She spoke, voice shaking. "I will marry you, if you'll have me."
Your heart flipped in your chest. You grabbed her face and kissed her deeply. It was your first kiss with her. Her lips tasted sweet and salty mixed with her tears. The waves crashing behind you were almost as loud as your heart was beating.
"I love you too, Ellie. I would marry you right now if the Gods allowed it." You beamed, tears of joy welling up in your eyes.
Ellie wrapped her strong arms around you and lifted you up, giving you a spin. You threw your head back in laughter. "My beautiful princess." She smiled up at you. She put you down, keeping her grip on your waist, pulling you in for another passionate kiss. Your hands found home in her auburn hair and you arched into her.
"I will tell my father in the morning, at dawn even. I don't care if he's still asleep. I will rush his chambers and demand it." You said eagerly.
"You will make a fierce queen." Ellie laughed. "You do always get what you demand. Your father is most generous."
"You're most generous." You teased, taking her hand once more. "Now, fulfill your duty as my protector and bring me back to the castle safely."
"Yes Princess." She smiled as she lead you back to the castle knowing that in a fortnight she would be the one to marry you.
Sorry Prince Jesse.

Futile Devices
Summary: Ellie returns to Jackson after Santa Barbara and tries to find you.
A/N: I thought of this when I heard the first/last line of the song so I had to write this out. Feedback would be appreciated!! Please comment or leave it in the ask box. Making this into a series
CW: Angst + hurt/comfort, swearing, mentions of death
WC: 1.8k NOT PROOF READ

And words are futile devices
Hot tears streamed down your face as your eyes burned holes into the back of the auburn girls head. She turned around to face you, nearly feeling your desolate stare.
Ellie didn't know what to say. She knew you were going to be broken over her leaving, but there was something sinister inside that was gnawing away at her day by day. Abby was still out there and that was not something that was going to let get away from her again. Not after everything. Not after Joel. Not after Jesse. She had to finish it.
"So that's it then?" You finally spit out. "You're just leaving me here alone?" You tried to hold in your sobs.
You had accompanied her to Seattle. You had been there for her through her entire journey. The two of you had finally started to settle down and heal from all the pain and hurt the world had brought into your lives.
"I'm sorry, Y/N." was all Ellie could muster, her gaze fixated on the floorboards. She couldn't bare to look at you, knowing that all this pain you felt was caused by her. "I have to finish it."
You let out a frustrated cry. "She doesn't get to be more important than the life we've made for ourselves."
Her stare was blank. She had heard what you said and processed it, but she knew there was nothing much she could say to make this even remotely better.
"Are you going to say anything?" You yelled.
She flinched at your tone. You had never yelled at her. Not once. It surprised her, but she knew it was deserved. After a moment she finally spoke. "I wish we were two different people. Two people who didn't need to say goodbye."
"Oh, Ellie." You tone softened from the much harsher one you had spat out earlier. You walked close enough to cup her face in your hands. "We don't have to say goodbye." Her fingers reached up to grab your hands.
"Y/N..." She sighed, tears brimming in her own eyes now. She brought your hands down from her face, still holding them in her own. She kissed your cheek softly. So softly you barely could feel her lips ghosting over your skin.
Then she was gone.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
That was the last time you saw Ellie Williams. Three months had passed and you hadn't seen her or heard a word about her. Last you heard she was in Santa Barbara.
Things were going okay. They were fine. You were soldiering on everyday. But then sometimes you would be out on patrol and see a stupid superhero collection card. Or you would think that out of the corner of your eye you would see her walking through the gates of Jackson. When things like this happened you tried your best to keep it together, but it was hard to not slip back into your bad habits like when she first left.
When she left that day you were a wreck for a month straight. There was no consoling you. All you could do was cry and worry. Dina tried her very best to comfort you but it seemed that despite her best efforts, you were still unraveled.
"Dina, I just don't understand why this had to happen. I miss her so much, I'm so worried." You sobbed, trying to catch your breath.
"I know Y/N." Dina whispered, rubbing circled on your back. That was all she could say at the time.
Now on month three without Ellie, you had begun to build up resentment. Towards yourself and towards her. You were resentful to her because she left you. On top of grieving for Jesse, who had been your best friend for years, you also had to grieve the loss of Ellie. You didn't know if she was dead or alive and at this point you could only assume the worst. But at the same time you resented yourself for even feeling this way. It felt evil and wrong. You loved this girl with all your heart and soul. It pained you the be harboring such ill will towards someone you cared so deeply for.
You shook yourself from your debilitating thoughts and sought out to find Dina, who you were out patrolling with. You found her waiting were you had tied up the horses.
"Hey, you doing alright?" She asked as you approached in silence.
"I..." miss her "I'm fine."
"Y/N, are you sure?" She asks again. She always tried to push you to open up even when you didn't want her to. But it was nice knowing she was there. You didn't want her to keep worrying about you but you also knew that if you didn't open up it would make her anxious.
"Yeah I just saw a fucking stupid trading card." You replied with a spiteful tone. Dina was quiet for a moment. Sometimes you forget she's mourning her friends too. "I'm sorry D." You said.
"Let's go home. We've got as much as we needed for today." She smiled.
Dina is an amazing friend to you. She could easily move past moments like these which helped you move past them too. You were forever grateful to her for her strength. It's been your lifeline.
The two of you rode back in comfortable silence, occasionally making small talk. The view was always so beautiful through the woods. You caught yourself smiling, enjoying the fresh air and the trees around you.
"That's what I like to see!" Dina exclaimed. It startled you out of your serenity. "Finally a genuine smile."
You laughed. You actually laughed at one of her jokes for the first time in a long time. "Yeah yeah." you sighed. "How about I race ya back?"
Without giving her a chance to respond you kick the sides you your horse and it takes off into a steady gallop.
"No fairrrr." You hear her yell from behind you. Her horse whines as it take off, advancing on you.
The guards see you two approaching and open the gate, your horses barreling in. You won but barely. You were sure that if you didn't cheat you would have lost. None the less you had a shit eating grin on your face.
The two of you continued to race the horses into the barn. Out of the corner of your eye you see a familiar silhouette with auburn hair. You shake it off, knowing that it was just a figment of your longing mind. In this moment, you finally felt free of the past and all the grief that came with it. You weren't going to let your mind ruin this for you. Maybe this is what healing felt like.
The two of you dismount your horses and brought them into the stable, getting them situated in their pens. Dina was complaining about how you cheated and barely won, you were just reveling in your small victory.
"Alright, alright." You giggled. "You're right, I'm a total mother fucker who cheated." You repeated the name she had called you seconds before.
"Thank you." She laughed and gave your shoulder a light shove. You fake flinched. "All right I'll see you later for dinner." She said as she turned on her heel walking back to her place.
You sighed happily and turned around, heading towards to field that your small house was on. You loved your little field. Wild lavender grew in small bushes and a variety of wildflowers bloomed in the spring and summer time. They were just starting to bloom for the year. As you were walking further onto the path leading up to your home, your eyes adjusted to something further ahead. You heart sank to your stomach. Your throat dried up, eyes welling with tears. No this can't be real. You thought to yourself. Your vision was blurry with tears and your breath was caught in your throat.
You turned around quickly, not wanting to dare look at the figure any longer. You nearly ran the opposite directing until you heard a voice ring out.
"Y/N,"
It's been a long, long time since I've memorized your face
Your heart was beating out of your chest, stopping dead in your tracks. You finally get the courage to turn around and when you do you see her.
"Ellie," You whisper. Your feet are moving faster than your mind, one foot desperately flying in front of the other. All resentment or anger you had felt leaving you in that moment. "Ellie!" You yelled. You were running faster than you ever had in your life. As you got closer you saw her hair was slightly disheveled. It was a bit longer than the last time you saw her. Her face still spotted with light freckles.
Your body collided with hers, arms wrapping around each other tightly. With the force of you running, you managed to send the two of you flying back, landing on the ground with an oof. Ellie sat the two of you up to where you could finally get a good look at each other. Tears were streaming down your face and hers. You couldn't get any words out. You were still in shock mentally that she was here, but your heart was hopelessly devoted to her which is how you ended up back in her arms.
Your body was trembling as you positioned yourself on your knees, hands reaching up to grab her face. "How?" Was all you could say. Your mind was racing with a million questions. What happened in Santa Barbara? Why is she back? How is she back? Is she safe? You felt her hands reach up to grasp yours, noticing her left hand now only had three digits. What happened to her fingers? She saw you noticing and got flustered. She tried to pull her hand away but you caught it, bringing it to your lips for a gentle kiss. Your eyes locked with hers.
Ellie began noticing your features. She had never forgotten what you looked like. The image of you in her head is what kept her going and fighting for all those days in exile. But somehow you looked different. You looked thinner, your once bright eyes looked drained and the bags under your eyes were dark. Her heart was breaking looking at her perfect, patient girl. The girl who ripped herself apart to follow her from Jackson to Seattle. The girl who begged her to stay when she left for Santa Barbara.
As she continued to hold you in her gaze, a strangled sob escaped from her lips. "I'm so sorry, Y/N." She cried out. "I'm so sorry." She soon felt your warm and tight embrace wrap around her trembling frame.
"Els, oh my God, you're here. You're here. I can't believe this. I-" You stopped to catch your breath. "I missed you so fucking much." You tried not to cry as you said the last part.
"I missed you too. So much." She cried.
You grabbed her arm and pulled her up, both of you standing now. You swiftly interlocked you hands.
"Let's go home."

You took a slow inhale from your pink bowl piece while you sat in your bed waiting for Ellie to return home. She was out picking up her supply from her guys. She never let you come with her.
"Could be too dangerous." She would always say, and you would always laugh at her dramatics.
So here you sat at home, in the apartment you shared with your girlfriend. It felt like time was going so slowly, probably because you were high, but you missed Ellie. You set the bowl down on the nightstand next to you as you hear the front door open and close softly. You jumped up and rushed out into the living room to meet Ellie at the door. She sees you beaming at her and smiles. She walks over and grabs your chin, pulling you in for a kiss.
"Hey babe." She says. "Sorry I took so long, I ended up selling a few G's to some dumbass college kids." She pulls her wallet out of her back pocket. "I wayyy jacked up the price for the inconvenience of me having to stop on the way to see my girl." Reaching in her wallet, she pulls out a stack of twenties and counts out about two hundred dollars worth from the stack. She puts the rest of the money away and hands you the two hundred in cash.
She does this every fucking time. "Ellie you can't just give me two hundred dollars." You try to force her hand away but of course she stronger and wins, giving you the money.
"For your hair and your nails babe." She says as she takes off her jacket, hanging it up on the back of the door.
She was so sweet. When you were with Ellie you never had to want for a thing. If you needed food, a drink, money to get hair and nails done? She's got you. She treated you like a princess, always saying things like "My girl deserves the best." or "If I can afford it why would I not just buy it for you?"
You begrudgingly put the money in your pocket and followed Ellie back into the bedroom. She plopped herself down onto the bed, motioning for you to follow. You did and sat next to her.
"Hey did you smoke without me?" She asks, noticing the bowl piece next to the bed. She faked a betrayed stare.
You giggled and opened the nightstand drawer, putting it away and pulling out instead; a jar of pre rolls. "I rolled these up for us while you were gone too."
Her gaze softened. She threw her arm around your waist, pulling you down to sit on her lap. "God, I love you." She smiles.
She has the same reaction every time you do this and it's so cute. It's like a little routine you guys have. When she goes out to do business, you roll up for when she gets back. She acts surprised every time.
Ellie takes a joint out of the jar and purses it between her lips. "Pass me the lighter." She mumbled.
You grabbed her black lighter and lit the hemp for her. Still sitting in her lap, you leaned into her, pressing a light kiss on her cheek as she took a hit. She smiled and passed the joint to you, returning the kiss to the side of your head. Your head started to feel fuzzy yet euphoric. The effects of the plant starting to hit you. You let out a content sigh. You could stay like this forever. Just you and your favorite brown haired girl. You made small talk with her while the two of you finished off the preroll.
The feeling of the weed had you wanting to cling to Ellie. You got very clingy when you smoked and she loved it. She scooped you from her lap and laid you on the bed, shuffling to lay next to you. Your eyes bore into hers, they looked low and red. She looked good like this. At peace.
"Wanna listen to some music or something. Just for background noise." You suggested.
"Sure babe." Ellie sighs. She looked tired.
You turned on your tv and opened the Spotify app, selecting the playlist you and Ellie had made together. A while back you and her made a playlist of all the songs you two liked to listen to. The first song that came on when you shuffled it was Opera House by Cigarettes After Sex. You hummed in amusement. You loved this song.
You lied back down and gazed at Ellie who had a sleepy smile on her face. You shuffled in closer to her and got comfortable, closing your eyes, enjoying the music. Ellie places her fingertips on your arm, lightly rubbing up and down. It tickled a bit but it was relaxing. You sighed against her touch. Ellie started to hum along to the music as she rubbed your arm.
Eventually you opened your eyes when you felt her brush a piece of hair behind your ear.
She began to sing. "I was meant to love you and always keep you in my life."
You blushed as you knew she was singing this to you. She had said so many times that this song made her think of you.
"I was meant to love you, I knew I loved you at first sight."
"Ellie," You smiled, reaching over to cup her cheeks. "I love you."
She pulled you in closer to her, your face was buried in her chest. "I love you too baby."

It was an everyday struggle with you and Ellie. Having to pretend you were just friends. It was so painfully obvious to everyone around the two of you that you liked each other. Both of you were in denial.
"She likes dudes. I'm telling you." Ellie exclaims to Dina. "Look at her."
They both look in your direction, one of them with major heart eyes for you.
You worked in the stables taking care of the horses, so Ellie and Dina saw you almost everyday when they went out on their routes. Your long, pretty hair was tied into a braided ponytail that came over your shoulder. You had on a light pair of jeans and a purple tank top. Plump lips stretched into a smile talking to some guy you were helping saddle up.
"See." Ellie sighs. "She's a dude lover."
Dina laughed at her dramatics. "Ellie you never know. Maybe stop being a little bitch and ask her out. See what happens."
"And get totally shut down and embarrass myself? No thanks." Ellie huffed.
"Who's embarrassing themselves?" You butt in, walking over to the girls. That same gorgeous smile plastered across your face. Ellie nearly choked on her words as Dina let out a small laugh.
"Hey, Y/N/N." Dina smiles.
"How's Shimmer doing?" Ellie asks you, trying to change the conversation.
"Super good!" You exclaimed. "I made sure to give her all the best feed for ya and gave her a good brushing. Wanted her to be well rested and well fed for my-" You stopped yourself from saying 'my girl'.
Dina raised a suggestive eyebrow at your almost slip up. She glanced at Ellie who just let that comment go right over her head. Dina rolls her eyes and rests a hand on your shoulder and Ellie's. "You two are so stupid," She laughs. "It's cute." With that she walks away towards her horse's pen ready to wait for Ellie.
"What is she talking about?" You laughed nervously, scratching the back of your neck.
"Nothing. Just Dina being Dina." Ellie explains, still trying to play it cool.
It was hard to stay calm and collected when you were looking at her like that. Eyes looking up at her all pretty, slightly biting your bottom.
You were 100% admiring her. You had the biggest crush on Ellie and you tried to make it obvious but you were starting the think maybe she just didn't like you. Especially because she got so short and flustered when you came around.
"Well I hope it goes well out there today," You said as you began to walk away. Ellie groaned under her breath. She had made it awkward again. It had been weeks of this back or forth. She decided to take Dina's advice. If it made it more awkward between you two... oh well.
"Hey, wait up!" She called out to you. She caught up to you and grabbed your wrist, turning you around. You looked surprised at her sudden action.
"Yes..?" You questioned playfully. You noticed she still hadn't let go of your wrist. You looked down at her hand then back up at her.
She let go, flustered and tried to get her words together for what she was going to ask you.
"So," She began. "I was just wondering i-if-" She stopped herself. I must sound like an idiot right now was all she could think.
You laughed slightly. "Is this you not 'being a little bitch' and asking me out?"
Ellies eyes widened and she felt like her mouth went dry. You had 1000% overheard a part of the conversation with Dina about you. She decided to just take this as her in. She let out a breathy laugh. "Yeah I guess this is." She said, sounding a bit more confident.
"Well then congratulations, you just earned yourself a date with me." You winked. "Come find me when you get back. I'll be here."
Ellie's face flushed a bright red seeing you wink at her like that.
"You know I mean a date-date." She said cautiously. "Like not friends."
You gave her a playful side eye. "Of course I know it's a real date. I've been into you for months! Have you not noticed?" You asked.
"I just didn't think you were into girls." Ellie admitted, awkwardly scratching the back of her neck.
You lightly punched her shoulder. "Just because I look all girly doesn't mean I'm not into girls idiot."
Ellie starts laughing. "Hey, hey, okay! I'm sorry. Now I know. Super pretty girls can like other girls too."
You blushed at her compliment. You decided to be bold and press a soft kiss on her cheek. You felt her face heat up under your lips.
"Just get out of here before I change my mind, hot stuff." You joke and shove her towards Dina.
Ellie turns around with a new found pep in her step. She makes her way over to Dina who was leaning on the fence waiting. She had of course witnessed the entire thing.
"What did I fucking tell you!!" She exclaimed.
Ellie shushed her. "Dina she heard us talking earlier that's like the only reason why because you were too loud." She fake scolded.
"Well you're welcome." Dina remarks sarcastically. "And I can't believe you said she was a dude lover."
"Oh my God. Shut up." Ellie rolls her eyes as she begins to mount Shimmer.
Ellie was playing it cool on the outside, but all she could think about now was getting back to you as soon as she could for the date. Now she just needed to plan something for you guys. Maybe Dina could help with that too.
