I think for me, the defining feature of soul is being self sacrificial. sacrificing his third for whole, sacrificing them all via regicide, sacrificing his sanity dealing with these fucking idiots. I think 2oul is very selfish. while soul tries to bring the three of them together, 2oul is perfectly happy separating himself. he has this idea that because hes the soul, he's more real than the other two, so he doesn't have a responsibility to them. he's not necessarily an asshole, he's just very self-interested. because of this, he often comes off as insensitive because he's just not really thinking about other people.

overall though, he's rather chill. he's freed himself from being the keeper of his thirds, so now he's just hanging out
