Lucifer calls his brothers cute little pet names when they're down

Something that stuck from the Celestial Realm

Because they were children, I don't care what canon says, they were children and had to grow up and Lucifer raised them when he was a young adult/end of his teenage years if you will for trauma

And when the Celestial War started the twins barely reached the age Lucifer was when he pulled little Mammon under his wing

But we're not talking about the Celestial War, we're talking about Lucifer's silly little pet names for his brothers

Beel definitely got "cuddlebug"

That guy is a hugger in his saddest moments and he definitely did that as a child already, just clinging onto Lucifer while Lucifer strokes his hair and quietly asks "What's wrong, cuddlebug?" and you can't convince me those moments don't happen anymore

Asmo probably gets called "my little jewel" (because you know Jewel of the Heavens? And yes, I know why he gets called that in canon, but maybe for the sake of this headcanon, heaven decided they need to tease Lucifer instead) or a simple "sweetie"

"What's got you so down, my little jewel?"

Belphie is a little hard because I would have said a basic "baby" because Belphie's the baby of the family, but I also think Lucifer would probably go with something else, maybe "snuggle bug"?

Belphie's probably also a hugger in sad moments, just doesn't admit it and doesn't make any attempts for a hug

"Are you okay, snuggle bug?"

Mammon's pet name is 100% "treasure", it sounds cheesy, sure, but that's the literal translation of the German "Schatz/Schatzi" and if they were German, Mammon would definitely be called "Schatz", so he gets "treasure" in English

"What's got you so blue today, treasure?"

Levi would probably have a pet name that has to do with the ocean, man was fascinated by it as a silly little guy (=kid), okay? Maybe something like "little jellyfish" or "little turtle"

"What's the problem, my little jellyfish?"

Satan is definitely the hardest, because he only started existing after the fall (which again I like to think of a child instead of a whole ass adult), so with all the trauma Lucifer endured and with Satan ready to blow up at the simplest things, I feel like Satan wouldn't even have a pet name at the beginning; only a few hundred years later when Lucifer feels especially affectionate and Satan has a moment of vulnerability where he can't even hate Lucifer for being the big brother he is, maybe only then does a "little dragon" slip out

"You want to talk about it, little dragon?"

Lilith definitely used to be "darling" or "honey"

"What's wrong, my darling?"

And yes, of course, most of those nicknames have a "my" and/or "little" in front; those are Lucifer's babies after all

Lucifer's Pact Mark

The seventh and final pact. Honestly, you were nervous seeking Lucifer out to form a pact with him. Whether you showed it or not. True to his sin, his pride didn't allow him to tell you how he truly felt, but he was still an open book. Again, you felt that familiar pain on your back. You didn't even get a chance to inspect his mark since he preoccupied your attention the rest of the night. After all, it was your last day in Devildom. Let's just say Lucifer had you on your stomach most of the time.

I finally finished all of the pact mark designs. Thank you for the love you have shown for my designs!! I actually have an idea of designing each of the brothers' engagement rings as I'm lowkey disappointed of the rings being the same one except the gem being the color of the brother you are marrying (still hoping we can marry all of them😍😍).

sylus never thought he’d think this, but at the moment, he’s not liking mephisto very much. 

after a tiring day at the n109 zone, all he wants to do is be smothered in your presence. in his mind, he already got everything planned. the moment he gets home, he’ll hit the shower—rinse off the blood and grime that got on him—and finally, finally, walk up to the bedroom and join you under the comfiest, softest blankets he bought when you started staying over (he’s waiting for the perfect time to actually ask you to just move in).

and all did go according to plan. he got home, washed up using your body wash, and was about to climb imto bed when something stopped him in his tracks. there, right where your neck meets your shoulders, lays his mechanical crow all snuggled up. that should be him. mephisto has his own sleeping area—why was he here? all cuddled up to you, sharing your warmth when it should've been sylus nosing at your neck, breathing you in. 

sylus doesn’t know what to do. he knows how much of a light sleeper you are and how you don’t like getting disturbed in your sleep—he learned that the hard way and ended up with a hand shaped mark on his cheek. 

he stands there for a while, robe lazily tied at the waist revealing the center of his chest, hair still damp, and arms crossed like a disappointed father. mephisto coos softly before burrowing deeper into your neck. 

“traitor,” sylus mutters under his breath. defeated, he circles around the bed to your other side. he slides under the covers with the stealth of a secret spy, careful not to shift the mattress too hard. your breathing is steady. good, he’s safe.

he lies on his side, arms already gathering you up in his hold as gently as he can. his action got him a faint frown between your brows but he quickly brushes it off with a swipe of his thumb. he presses a light kiss to the patch of skin his thumb just touched. 

after, he poked a finger at mephisto.

“next time,” he whispers, voice barely audible, “you’re getting locked out.”

you hum in your sleep, like you heard his very-much-not-a-threat, and sylus freezes. but you don’t wake. instead, you cradle the crow with one hand and turn over to face sylus, snuggling into him—mephie now between the two of you.

maybe he can forgive mephisto just this once. he thinks before shutting his eyes and drifting off to dreamland.
