sunrise // wildfire season - September 2020, of course the year got weirder and weirder, why wouldn't it? major wildfires in Canada turned the sky bright orange for a day - it was truly eerie
july 2020 - pandemic film edition. these portra 800 snaps all feel so far away now, the pandemic was on it's 4 month, the stock and crypto markets were soaring, blm was still roaring and the world was trying to figure itself out. after a couple months of not really shooting much i was finally getting back into making art / documenting the world with more than just a point and shoot
i really didn't shoot much during the early pandemic months - pretty much everything was shot on a little point and shoot film camera - some scenes from an empty downtown and the earliest days of blm protests
in some ways it was still business as usual - mid march 2020
really is interesting looking back on these shots from very early on in the pandemic, in many ways live is still completely normal but knowing now how much everything was going to change you can see the signs.
took some photos on the way to the film lab - such a strange in between time in the world - i believe the first covid death in the US had just been linked to a retirement home out in the suburbs.
