ABOUT A DECADE AGO ||

When I went through to Mauritius in August of 2005, for African Junior Champs.

“If ever there was a time I believed in myself this would be it. Though nervous for my races, I didn’t care. I wanted to win! My 50m Free and 50m Fly landed me in the Finals eventually placing third in the 50m Free with a 29.19 which was a PB at the time. 

I want to thank my young self and my support system for always motivating me to do my best for reaching the next rung of success and most of all for BELIEVING in me. I had lost this belief for a bit but as I have grown older this belief has resurfaced, and mostly because of the people I have come across over the last few months. It was also at these championships that I had a spiritual connection to my sport. It was amazing! 

The most important thing you can do for yourself is believe in YOU!”

As Drake once said, none of the BS is gonna last…it’s here today and gone tomorrow, only the good stuff lasts. That good stuff is what you wield within.
