Baljeet's fast-paced skill grinding and singleminded drive for improvement is immensely satisfying to him - I personally believe that Baljeet will never actually be happy if he's not learning something.

This is why Baljeet becomes an avid researcher, and writes multiples of books on his favorite subjects. These are all painfully non-fiction; dry and poorly paced and generally only read and enjoyed by fellow researchers. But some of his books do later become standardized textbooks for schools (which students hate).

I've been out of my anxiety meds for almost a month, which in turn makes my ocd flare up too, and it's making me obsess over my blog looking "perfect" again and making me feel guilty for not having the energy/focus to make gifs over the past few days, so if I step away for awhile, that's what's going on 🙄

random anecdote for father's day: one time during a long car ride my dad asked me, "you're familiar with Murphy's Law, right?" and i was like "isn't that the one about how anything that can go wrong will go wrong?" and he said "yeah, exactly" and i said "why do you ask?" and he went "well, have you heard of Cole's Law?" and i said "no, actually, what's that?" and he said "it's mostly lettuce and carrots with a little dressing mixed in"
