A new painting of love in ancient Egypt. The text, written and translated from the Egyptian by @vintage_egyptologist , who also posed for one of the women, says “As the Aten shines in order to give to them praise, so he sets to double their love.” Then, on the other side, it continues in heiroglyophs, “my heart is in balance with your heart. I shall never be far from your beauty!” Above them Aten shines, and the rays of light become hands that join them in eternal love. This painting is available as a print in my redbubble shop.
