This scene in Titans got to me so much.

Not because it's a symptom of an inaccurate adaptation of Jason, which it would be if it were genuinely true that he never so much as touched a book. What Dick says isn't true; Jason is shown reciting quotes from musicals.

Jason even willingly refers to himself as a thespian.

What it is a symptom of is the fact that Dick never truly got to know Jason before his death. Dick had no idea that Jason liked literature, theatre, plays, music; he fully bought Jason's facade of the overconfident, irreverent street kid who didn't give a shit about anyone or anything. And having him claim that Jason would never have read anything is a heart-wrenching way of showing that.

hi! i’m kinda shy to ask this but i love your fics sm and was wondering if it’d be ok to write something inspired by one of your stories? i know ao3 has the ‘works inspired by’ function but it felt wrong to go ahead and do it. would you be okay with something like that, or would rather not? regardless of either way, just want to say tysm for all the bottom jay food <3

Anyway, on the off chance you're still interested in doing this, please know that I am always good with people creating works inspired by mine! I can't think of anything more lovely and flattering, to be honest. I do usually ask that people do use AO3's "inspired by" function just in case people aren't aware it's there but you're already on top of that.

Hey guys, I got to thinking, and as we're going to go into the sixth year of OJTW and all the prompts are getting a little repetitive, why not shake things up?

Does anyone know of any ship-friendly, non-anti Star Wars discord servers? Preferably ones focused on The Bad Batch and/or Clone Wars? Would also be pretty pumped for a Legends-focused server.

Basically, any Star Wars server that doesn't mention the sequel trilogy and would be friendly to my.... particular brand lol
