TW: Kidnapping and violence. This is so heartbreaking. I say this every time I post something about Tilly. I’ve written Metas about it. Tilly is so underrated. She is a survivor.  Yet she’s so ignored. She is one the strongest and bravest women and it’s even more admirable that she maintained her kindness and her coolness. And the fact that Arthur and the gang loves her so much makes me tear up. We needed more of this. I’m so happy that she had a happy ending. She MORE than earned it. This conversation also shows how complex Dutch can be.  “We all loved you - even those with the colder hearts” - paraphrasing Arthur. Literally one of the best conversations I’ve posted. It makes me emotional, just like the other two I posted in the past few days. Sorry for the essay.

This is a lot of the people I follow now. I only have like…5 people on here that talk with me. It’s better than none, though!

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

I hate that the "Gen Alpha can't read." conversation so much because people are taking this as a chance to call children stupid and their parents monsters instead of having a very real discussion about how the education system is flawed by design, covid fucked up everything socialization wise, these parents having little access to child care and more work hours leads them to lean on things like tablets and phones to watch their kids more and more, teachers are more overworked and underpaid than ever leading to them leaving the profession in droves and that's only like the surface level issues. There's a myriad of factors at play here, not just that "The kids are spoiled screen-addicted brats with no imagination and their parents are childish spoiled millennials who just let coco melon handle everything."

It's happening again, guys. More fics are 'disappearing' because someone changes a collection to private.

All the fics in that collection also change to 'unrevealed' and no one can find them or read them anymore. Only the owner of the collection can.

This is what you will see if the fic is part of a private/unrevealed collection⬇️

Only the author can remove their fic from an unrevealed collection. Ao3 sends you an email warning you that a collection your fic is part of has changed the status to unrevealed.

(This is the email you receive⬇️)

The BIG problem here is that if the author is no longer active on Ao3 and don't check the mails, the fic will be lost forever!

Please make sure you have this option unchecked in your preferences if you don't want your works added to collections without your consent⬇️

Be careful with allowing people to add your fics to collections, guys. I have deleted all the collections from my fics and I won't allow any collection requests anymore.
