Okay I am back after having a few sad girl days/weeks. This song has been on repeat for days just gettin me through each day! Whenever I am sad or in a funky mood, SZA’s Ctrl album makes me feel so warm. It’s like she’s giving me a hug but like she’s wearing a really fuzzy and cozy sweater <3 Her music is made for moments of insecurity and uncertainty.. she just gets it..

Some of my favorite lyrics include:

One thing I can count on is for SZA to make me feel seen and heard! I used to listen to Ctrl most of senior year of high school. I think I sometimes just miss how innocent and hopeful I was back then. Not that I’m not hopeful now, it’s just a different type of hopeful lol idk. Just gotta take everything day by day!

Her - Chase Atlantic

Ok this song has been on constant repeat since I first heard it (3 days ago), so I am considering it an all time fav Mayra song. This song is just very pleasing to my ears, from the beat, the singer, and honestly just everything about this song lol. I really like Mitchel Cave’s voice, it’s very smooth idk... I love a good R&Bish song!

Okay there’s a few lyrics that stand out to me, some silly and others just nice to hear:

OMG - New Jeans

This song has to be one of my favorite songs of all time LOL. Sophia knows the tune of this song so well because I play it on a loop :P

This song is just so... bubblegum pop-y! This song puts you into a babygirl sassy mood, no matter who you are :P I want to learn the dance so bad, I just need to make time for myself to do it. The beat in this song is just TOOO GOOD... Like?! if the beat was a stove.. I would burn myself by touching it, tss!

Ngl, this is the first time I have looked at the English translation of the lyrics so here are my favs at first glance:

One of my top played songs of 2022!!!! (and for good reason)

Don’t know why artists make some of their best songs the shortest..

This song is one of my favorites from her Positions album. I am a pop girly at heart so I love a song with a good beat and some cute lyrics. I love her vocals in this song, they’re like silk dragging across your skin. I think this is one of her softer songs, both in terms of lyrics and sound. I love a good love song hehe. This song is just so sweet, it always puts me in a good mood. One of my comfort songs for sure :)

Boy With Luv -BTS

OK saw the BTS movie today, so you know I had to write about one of my all time fav songs ever in the history of the worldddd!!

This song controlled my life all junior year LOL

I just remember me and Taryn would stay up learning the dance, while Ashley was right beside us doing her homework, as well as being our own personal cheerleader! I would request this song be played at least once every time we would play volleyball lol (thank you Justin and Kobe)! There are multiple videos of me dancing to this song at parties as well /.\ I really cannot help it. Put this song on and I will instantly start morphing into Jimin

I personally think it is the perfect k-pop song,, it just reminds me of pink bubbles and candy hearts <3

I think this song is also just very wholesome and fun,, who doesn’t love a good catchy love song. They’re smitten!

Cyber sex is me and Ashley Rivard’s song. This album will always remind of her <3 This album came out when we first started becoming friends and we bonded over our love for it hehe. I remember we wouldn’t be able to study until we synced up our music so we could listen to the album together, but on separate computers. I miss those times in Hayden lol. So silly and playful! We would have too much fun talking to each other that we would have to go to separate corners of the room on the second floor (iykyk). There’s some hidden tiktoks out there of us dancing in Hayden with Justin LOL. Anywayz, without this album, I would not have Ashley Rivard in my life! Thank you miss Cat

Autumn Leaves - BTS

This is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and the BEST bts song out there

Everything about this song makes me so... ?!! The song is about someone losing their love for you, as autumn leaves lose their color. I’d like to think they are also saying love is seasonal. Some can also argue that heartbreak feels as if the seasons are passing you by (Bella in New Moon). I think it’s important to remember someone’s love for you can pass on, but there will be more love in the future. I think love comes in so many forms, there is no way to run out of it

Something about this line is so.. romantic

“I want the you that meets my eyes, I want the you that wants me again”

I think what makes this song my favorite is minute 3:32. Jungkook’s vocals are a little too good.. like i ain’t even gonna lie, I replay that part at least 10 times when listening

This song is so beautiful, I don’t even know where to start 

From the vocals, the beat, the lyrics, it is one of my favorite pieces of art. There is just something about the idea of someone being a dream. Some people are just dreams in human form idek I can’t explain it (but it’s real). You don’t want ur time with them to ever end. Love exists everywhere, even in your dreams <3

This song deserves a different type of appreciation, purely based on how she sings, not what she sings. 

This song makes you feel like you’re aimlessly floating on a cloud. This song reminds me of a big fluffy blanket lol

This whole album is one of my favorites, purely because there are so many different vibez. Pharrell is also just a genius, so the fact that he produced this whole album makes it even better hehe

This song makes me want to sing and dance on top of a table lol. Makes me feel cocky af!! idgaf vibez. Whenever this song comes on in the car, I turn the volume up until my mirrors shake .. hehe (sorry mom)
