Been on a art swing lately, my last pic was tons of fun to work on!
(Well, working on it was fun, my laptop, was not cooperating. More on that later...)
One thing I've been meaning to try out more is actually drawing backgrounds. Here's a clear view of that since it got covered up.
*tadaaaa*
I also wanna talk about the characters featured characters featured in the pic!
Azora (left) and Serial (right)
Azora is a character that belongs to my friend, Trick! Trick and I go wayyy back, and uh, exchanged some things... In fact I got to design Azora's initial design!
I never really intended Serial to be a "character" since they're an just on online representation of myself, however, these pics can come off as an exception of sorts. One thing true about Serial (me) here is that I'd def react that way if I ever got the chance to try those "crepe things". (I have a sweet tooth and LOVE crepes)
Pics like these are really fun to do! I've grown a liking to the height difference between the two, so expect to see more soon!
a rough height comparison + official heights and initial designs of both Serial and Azora,
(also if Azora reminds you of anyone, you're probably right about it!)
Another notable thing about this picture is that I finally got to do a full shaded pic featuring Azora! Everything before was just flat doodles.
Azora and Serial, in full shaded glory!
one of the various flat doodles, from xmas 2023
And finally, some behind the scenes stuff!
Usually, to keep proportions correct, I make a stick figure doll as a guide!
Oh, and Serial was supposed to drool a little bit, but I thought that kinda looked gross.
Overall, I had a LOT of fun with this pic. After all, anythings funner with Trick around~
HOWEVER, my laptop did not like me making that pic AT ALL!
I always worked with rather large canvases for art, but lately my laptop has been having all sorts of issues that range from slowing down severely randomly, to disconnecting from my mouse! What gives!? This pic must really pushed my laptop to its limits because at one point, my graphics driver just, died! My laptop had to run at a bizarre resolution for the rest of the session to keep up. (with the screen randomly going pitch black!)
(to be fair, it's a pretty old laptop)
Anyway, that's it for now... I've got something else in the works for a... special holiday...
(don't get your hopes to high, though!)
I don't really have many plans for the big day, but I am carving out pumpkins to make pumpkin pie later. I'll make it a Halloween treat! If all goes well, I will post about it... 👀
All month I've been busy with various stuff so I didn't even realize Halloween was so soon! This picture is actually VERY last minute... I stayed up all night finishing it! Glad it payed out well though, I like the way it came out. I was playing around post effects for this picture, I like how the effects came out, but the colors were slightly modified the original pic was very red, I put it below!
A hard to see detail I tried putting was using a very rough pen to draw the pupils for Serial's eyes. I felt that it would give off a sorta scary look! Maybe it's a lust for blood??
Originally, I wasn't sure what to do for a Halloween picture, but I've been playing Pikmin Bloom and I really grew attached to the vampire outfit they have over there, so it served as a inspiration for the costume in this pic! Personally, I think my Lycanroc pulled the look off better...
I am SO glad I got to finish the picture in time, Happy Halloween and stay safe out there!!
Originally posted to TikTok, but it was taken down:
Short Vocaloid English practice with GUMI V3 English.
This song has been stuck in my head lately... Copacobana...
This is the first time I used GUMI English! I made the VSQ in one night so it might be a bit sloppy in some parts, but I like it! I should use actually use GUMI more...
Originally this was done with KAITO V3 English, but I ended up liking GUMI's version more.
Also, I changed "Tony" to "LEON" as a nod to the first Vocaloids, LEON and LOLA :)
hmmm
since I like babbling so much about my hobbies, I'm thinking about just turning this blog into a personal blog where I provide BTS and more context about the work I do...
Tumblr has the perfect format for that too
