Vlad had to do something drastic to save Maddie, at the very least, from the thing that her child had become. Perhaps what it needed was a play-mate to distract it?

He’d somehow managed to gather some of it’s ectoplasm and had created such a being. However, things did not turn out as Plasmius had envisioned it. Much like a lot of his other plans, this one had backfired on him. 

Now the Fentons had two monsters plaguing their home….
