I understand why my FYP keeps feeding me DCU fancast videos, but I can't move on from Brenton Thwaites and Anna Diop as Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Koriand'r/Starfire in DC Titans.

I'm also realizing in real time how protective I am of that show. For all its flaws, I am so fond of it.

Forgot to share this yesterday! This week's The Buccaneers continues down a path where most scenes feel like reactions to actions that occurred between episodes. Its ending makes me miss the friendships as shown in Season 1. Here's my review:

Do you have thoughts about TSITP Season 3?

Yes! Always!

I think Conrad is my favorite part so far. After the last two seasons, it's just really great to see Conrad healing, and his friendship with Agnes is exactly what I think he needs while he's in California. Christopher Briney is doing an incredible job with the material.

The Christmas at Cousins stuff made me smile SO BIG. The P.S. I Still Love You bit in the crossword puzzle still has my head reeling.

I'm concerned about the 3-year time jump, though. It's really throwing me off with Steven and Taylor because I can't quite place when their relationship began and ended and began and ended...again?

I think Rain Spencer did a great job with that scene at Steven's bedside, though. There's something deeply relatable in Taylor's feelings, then. And seeing her push that back down when Steven wakes up with her words pre-wreck ringing in his ears? OOF.

I also think the time jump makes Belly and Jeremiah's relationship even MORE complicated. They've been together EVEN LONGER before he sleeps with Lacie and before he proposes.

I could go on, but I'll stop myself here. I was thinking about writing some posts for my website blog. Would you all be interested in that?

Because I’m absolutely bonkers about this character, I couldn’t stop myself from trying to take in the details of Lois Lane’s apartment during that excellent Clois scene (It’s SO dynamic! I really could — and maybe will — write a whole post about it.). The heaps of books! The framed photo of her name written in the sky! The organized chaos of it!

You all, I *loved* Superman (2025). I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it — a movie about kindness — is coming out in the same year as Thunderbolts — a movie about mental health. It’s almost like we need those reminders.

Not really! The only couple I'm really enjoying this season is Richard and Conchita, and I think that's because the show has shown us more of them. Even that has only been a few minutes here and there.

I'm really feeling that eight-episode season this year. I want to see everything, and I know that's unreasonable given the constraints. But it also feels like The Buccaneers never shows enough for me to invest in anything or anyone. It's that show and don't tell thing, I guess.
