Definitely your average writer/artist. Currently obsessing over Dream SMP and Detroit: Become Human.

Long text incoming since this is the first time I'm interacting with this community and I have so many thoughts! Lots of spoilers ahead! Interpretations that I have not watched or seen the entirety of will be marked with [*]. Some of them may also have surface research I did because they're so popular I don't understand how I haven't thoroughly enjoyed them the way other people did.
Presumably this is what I think will influence my vote:
Any drug using habit may (slightly, according to some interpretations of Holmes) impair said person mentally
Any major injuries that are of importance in the series
Quotes that list fighting capabilities or useful skills that are clearly shown on-screen
If you have the time, please recommend me some more (through my ask inbox or just reblog, i don't know how the tumblr algorithm works)
About the Sherlock Holmes versions listed in the poll:
BBC Sherlock: Can be quite a formidable opponent; has been seen fighting quite a few people (a man with a sword in "The Blind Banker", and several armed CIA trained operatives in "A Scandal in Belgravia"). Has also has done undercover work (opening of "The Empty Hearse"). Addicted to nicotine and smoking, though he exercises some restraint.
ACD Canon Holmes: Quote from Watson directly in A Study in Scarlet, "Is an expert singlestick player, boxer, and swordsman". Has continuously proven himself throughout to be very physically fit ("undoubtedly one of the finest boxers of his weight that I have ever seen" from a prize fighter in The Sign of Four, straightening a bent poker stick in "The Adventure of the Speckled Band"). Slightly less capable when handling surprise attacks ("The Adventure of the Illustrious Client"). Uses cocaine and morphine.
RDJ Holmes: Fights a lot. Immediately can be seen in underground fights during the first few seconds of the movie. He can analyse his opponents so minutely that he can estimate the physical and psychological damage of his attacks. Opium user.
Granada Holmes [*]: I have not yet watched this interpretation. It is generally considered to be closest to ACD Holmes, so it is safe to assume Granada Holmes will possess the same skills.
Soviet Holmes [*]: I have also not yet watched this interpretation.
Dr. House [*]: Has been seen to be somewhat physically aggressive towards other people and patients. Suffers from a leg injury which limits his range of movement.
Basil of Baker Street [*]: Can fight. Very small compared to humans, unfortunately (is a mouse).
Enola Holmes: Can fight very well (has been taught jujitsu), even in long, heavy dresses. Has the surprise element of being a woman that can do physical combat.
Moriarty the Patriot's Sherlock [*]: I have not read this manga series. However, I found that he frequently smokes (drug addict) and is skilled in the martial arts. He has killed someone (Milverton) which may allow him to involve more lethal force without thinking twice, but this was done with a gun.
Sherlock and Co.'s Sherlock: Has the physical ability to fight (is heard practicing gun usage and swordfighting in "Mr. Sherlock Holmes"), but continuously prefers to not do so (talks down an Interpol agent from shooting Watson in Part 4 of "The Sign of Four", choosing to de-escalate a situation between Watson and a guy with a knife in part 1 of "The Abbey Grange"). Displays medical-grade opioid usage ("The Illustrious Client"). His own mental health self-diagnosis ("According to the DSM, I have ADHD, ASD, SPD, DMDD, ODD, and DID", also quoted from "The Illustrious Client") and that he uses ear defenders in socially loud places to avoid being overwhelmed may be used against him.
Sherlock Holmes from Fawx and Stallion: Has not been proven to have the ability to fight, but we can assume his ability to fight normally. Currently, as of Season 2 of F&S, he is stuck and incapable of making deductions.
Other Holmes interpretations mentioned from @sherlockholmesfight's tournament-like poll and in reblogs:
Elementary Holmes [*]: Can box competently, formally trained in single stick combat and can train others as well, mentions martial arts studies. If, however, one were to pluck him specifically from season 5-6, he would have been suffering from a brain injury that would have impaired his ability to fight; other than that, pretty daunting to take on. Past opiate addict.
Sherlock Gnomes: Is capable of fighting, for a gnome. However, lots of other opponents in this list are humans and thus are much sturdier and physically larger than him, not to mention him being made out of ceramic (and has broken a leg by the end of the first film).
Herlock Sholmes / Great Ace Attorney [*]: According to other fandom sites, he is not seen engaging in physical combat. Presumably he may be able to fight as a normal person can.
Shawn Spencer [*]: I have not yet watched this interpretation.
Basil Rathbone Holmes [*]: Should be quite close in character with ACD Sherlock Holmes. Since he is placed in time during World War II and his stories aligning with him protecting England, it is safe for me to assume that he has experience in dealing with fights.
Ronald Howard's Sherlock [*]: I have not watched it.
Sherlock Hound [*]: As the name describes, he is an anthropomorphic dog, which quite balances out the size against most other Holmes. Can use a revolver, and a damn good shot, and although is not seen shooting other characters (since it's a kid's show) I would assume he is capable of that. His only drug-related vice is smoking tobacco.
Russian Holmes (2013) [*]: Not yet. I'll search for information and then come back.
Young Sherlock Holmes (film) [*]: He is of the age to go to a boarding school, so he's probably not tall. Other than that, I don't know about his fighting capabilities.
Again, If you have the time, please recommend me some more stuff to go through! Thank you kindly for reading this ramble.
EDIT: FOLLOW ALONG AT @sherlockholmesfight to vote in a tournament style competition answering this question!

kinda wish i had seen this 4 years ago when I was in my thousands-of-AUs creating phase
then again, my own fault for not wanting to create a Tumblr account :3
Words to replace said, except this actually helps
I got pretty fed up with looking for words to replace said because they weren’t sorted in a way I could easily use/find them for the right time. So I did some myself.

basic things about me and boundaries, I think
My name’s Sherlock*. It’s nice to meet you!
I'm an artist/fanfiction writer! However I'm not sure I can do commissions up to your standards... yet. I'm working on it.
I support a lot of different groups so you will feel safe around me!
📨 Regarding fandoms and fanbases:
Current fandoms: Dream SMP (since August 2021), Detroit: Become Human (since January 2023). Apparently also the Sherlock Holmes fandom
Is a fan of: Ranboo, Dream
Past fandoms: Among Us, Dead Plate
Boundaries:
If I ever post art here please don't repost lol.
I'm sure I don't personally know any of you here; it's completely alright to ask questions :))))))))))))
I'm new to the concept of "reblogging to boost rather than like the post only" so please don't label me as a bot :(

[*] if you say a single word about why my name is about some detective in England please do not hesitate to yee your last haw before I transform myself into a homing missile
