"the age of consent should be 21" is alot like "the death penalty should include sex offenders" as twitter discourse topics, in the sense that i feel like the people bringing up those 'hot takes" barely believe in them and are only using them as a morality test because they think the only reason you would be opposed to them is because you're a evil pervert and not because actually trying to make those laws actionable in reality would have pretty natural consequences that noone advocating for them is actually thinking about.

I’ve said this before but the fact that tags for trans men are 90% filled with transfem thirst traps is absolute shit.

Lesbians dressed as clowns disrupted a "gender-critical" panel last month at University College London. Participants were surprised when trans and cis dykes from The Dyke Project obstructed the proceedings while in cheerful clown attire. Julie Bindel, one of the panelists, has been a major voice against trans, bisexual, and SWer rights. The protesters chanted, “you’re not feminists, you’re all clowns!” while interrupting her. More of these protests, please! Read the full story on Dazed.

It’s wild to me to see transvestigator conspiracy theories online that could be so easily explained by natural human variation. That woman has a deep voice? Yeah, sometimes they do. A woman has broad shoulders?? Maybe she plays rugby or hits the gym a fuckton. There’s a “bulge” in her tight pants?? Maybe her vulva is just fat. All the “markers” of trans woman that transvestigators use to harass any woman aren’t even things unique to trans women.

the problem. is not that breast augs and bbls and other plastic surgeries exist. the problem. is the beauty industry. we remember this, right? that plastic surgery in and of itself is not an inherently bad thing and people wanting them does not inherently make them vain? right? we're not going right back to the aughts where someone getting a nose job is a punch line in and of itself?? we ARE remembering this, right website full of queer people talking about how much they want gender affirming procedures, most of which categorically fall under cosmetic and plastic surgery??? we are not judging people for wanting to feel at home in their bodies but rather the system that tells them their bodies will never be enough????? right?????????

I'm immune to the "what if your mother had an abortion/had aborted you" argument not only because of the whole "if I don't exist how would I care" paradox but also because I recognize my mother as a human being with agency and because I do not consider the concept of motherhood and abortion mutually exclusive. people who had abortions can become parents later on. parents can have abortions. how do know my mother didn't have an abortion at some point? or yours?

Nice slippery slope you got there bud.
Literally what always happened to countries that legalized euthanasia so far tho (Canada, and Switzerland are on the way... Tho Switzerland is less affected because it's a much richer country altogether). The argument ceases to be a fallacy if the course of actions is always the same every time it's tested. That's how science works btw.
So fuck off. Come off of anon and give me real arguments instead of this shit.

[temporarily rises from the dead] the thesis statement of ofmd is ‘so much of what we’re taught about being a man is wrong’. a huge part of stede’s story is about how being his kind, gentle, caring self and enjoying things like picking flowers is still compatible with being a man. the show explicitly shows him overcoming his dad’s words about ‘real men’ and accepting himself as a man that is not traditionally hypermasculine.
so when i see folks on this website posting terf adjacent rhetoric about stede being ‘woman coded’ or ‘symbolically female’ or whatever the fuck they’ve been posting now, it drives me up the god damn wall
