I tried to draw a statue that I liked, I had never drawn something like this before.

Original characters by one artist "Wisest Toad". An elf girl and another girl, most likely a different race. I just wanted to draw something unusual, and I rarely draw girls. Just make a small gift.

Hi! I absolutely LOOOVVVEE your art, the color, lighting, and very animated facial features are all stunning. On top of all that, and what I most admire, is the posing and anatomy. It all just looks very candid and natural, especially the scenes with multiple characters, and I'm wondering what your process is for building up a human body - like, do you use references or programs or just fuckin go for it... if so where do you like to find references? i really love to draw and I'm especially looking to improve in these ways so i would love to hear about your process! xoxo

Thank you for the nice words! I try to always study colors, lighting, shapes, etc. This is very important for me to hear, thank you.

In fact, I don’t always use references, although I should. It's just that sometimes what I want to draw, I can't find a reference. I rarely take pictures of myself for reference, but it happens. I think you can find references in many places, even around you, when you look at people or in photographs of models, or on some sites for this, or on Pinterest (everyone praises it, but I’m literally not looking for anything there, it’s just difficult for me to find something interesting there).

I draw anatomy in a very standard and mediocre way I think. I start either from the head or from the line of the shoulders and the direction of the center of the body (I’ll attach an example, otherwise I don’t know how to explain).

The main thing is to set the direction of the shoulders and center, exactly how the pose should go. And everything else consists of simple shapes that are superimposed on those same lines. The main thing is to feel and understand the shape of the object.

I don't know much about anatomy, so I need more practice. But I'm lazy and don't draw enough. There are a lot of tutorials on drawing anatomy, I think you can find how and what to draw correctly. I'm not a teacher, you don't have to listen to me heh.

I am very glad that there are people who like my drawings, regardless of the fandom for which I draw or the dialogue in the drawings. Harbor and Astra in casual, possibly evening wear. I really love these two and their dialogue in the game. Although I often get scolded and yelled at for being bad at the game. But I don't play a game just for the sake of playing, I love listening to the dialogue and looking at all the details.

I wanted to ask, how do you cope with burnout or unsure of your own drawing? For some time, I've been having burnout and can't find my drawings to be nice although many ppl did commented it's good/nice. I stopped drawing too but when I want to continue drawing... I felt like unsure?

Hello! This is not a long question at all. In fact, this question also torments me all the time....

I don't think I'm the right person to help with this. I myself cannot cope with burnout and everything you listed. I have the same thoughts. I drew a drawing -> I think it’s terrible -> I show it to people -> they tell me that the drawing is good -> but I think I didn't try hard enough. It's a vicious circle.. /hits the table/

But good and bad comments motivate me to draw further. You know, I get burned out more because I look at the work of cool artists and I give up. They are very inspiring, but also demotivating. As for unsure, I have it all the time, and I don’t know how to deal with it. I try to ignore it. I just finish the drawing, post it, and let what happens.

If you want to draw, then draw and just forget about such mental suffering. If you want to, don't let any unsure stop you. You don't have to immediately paint a masterpiece to cope with something like this. You can draw anything, even a simple line, but later I think it’s a matter of small things. Everything will work itself out, the main thing is not to fill your head with bad thoughts. If it’s really bad, then I think you can take a break from drawing. I think there is something that will inspire you to draw and the burnout will go away.

I'm not the best adviser on such issues to be honest. So this may all sound strange. My thoughts sounded a little crumpled and perhaps aggressive. Sorry. It’s difficult to talk about this briefly, it seems like some kind of bullshit, but damn...

No, I'm always glad to hear that! I will say that I hear something bad about my drawings more often, but I try to ignore it ( if it’s something stupid ) and continue to draw.

Sometimes I feel like my style doesn't suit these characters at all. I've seen a lot of drawings where Nikolai and Price look tougher and more courageous, with more muscles than me. I think something needs to change hmmmm 🤔

Has anyone ever told you that the way you draw eyes are so beautiful? I don't know what it is that makes its more captizing, but I like looking at the eyes of your drawing. It's look simple but so pretty. I love that there's certain characters you gave bottom eyelashes like Nikolai. It's not detailed or even colored, but it's just soooo pretty. Make the drawings look alive.

Ahaha, sorry if I add a lot of eyelashes to the characters' eyes, I didn't do it on purpose. At such moments, the brain turns off and my hands draw something themselves.

Yes, I've done this before, but only about 2 videos. I think I'll do some more speedpaints. It's just that my computer is very old and slow, especially when recording video. But I'll try if it's really interesting.

I honestly don't think you drew "another regular guy" he is a military man, a "jarhead", also he is Austrian, and Austrian/German men do have that bone structure (I lived in Germany for 10 years)

His eyes.....his eyes say it all, so much sorrow and turmoil, absolutely incredible!

Ive seen all kind of rendering of his face and I can say that I really love your vision of König and Ghost and they are canon in my head!)

I hope to see more of him or any art from you because its absolutely beautiful. You translate emotions so well in face expressions witch is extremely hard

Oh hello! It's very awkward and I'm embarrassed. When people with a lot of experience like you look at my drawings, I get even more nervous haha.

I'm really glad if I managed to convey this slightly sad look and closeness to his "roots"

I've seen many different versions of his appearance from different artists. Many people draw him with long red or brown hair and many scars on his face (like Ghost). And they are very interesting compared to my drawing. So I definitely don’t claim any kind of canon or beautiful versions of the characters (Ghost and König).

I'm still glad if you liked my drawings with them. I'm not sure if I'll draw more of them because... well, I really don't know how to draw these guys. Other artists draw from much better.

I tried to draw König using his canon as a reference. I realized that I didn’t quite cope, I don’t know much about this character ( I ended up drawing the regular guy again, just like I did with Ghost ). But I can say that I like his eyes and his short haircut in canon.

About three people asked me to draw König, I cannot refuse this.

There was also a question about how I draw skin. To be honest, I don't do anything fancy, I mostly use the round brush and the lasso tool ( Below under the picture I indicated the brushes that I use ).
