Rockypuppet is done!

He’s a marionette with arms that can detach and move independently.

Materials have included: foam, cotton fabric, pvc pipe, paper mache, Velcro, and a LOT of hot glue.

to be fair I researched and this section with 90% certainty that it'll get pared down if not cut entirely, but a) it's good to know how a graveyard is managed and how grave digging works in modern day and b) world building fun :>

Doing some research for an upcoming scene and wanted to share some of the notable gravediggers listed on wikipedia, which includes tom petty, Joe Strummer from the clash, and president of the US Abraham Lincoln of all people.

(Technically, lincoln was a sexton which was overall graveyard management and caretaking, and was not looked down on or seen with suspicion/derision as someone who was only a gravedigger.)

Ah, the universal experience of Being a Lazy Young Adult

It was weird, thinking that I'd initially been terrified of this place. Like all freshman at Sutton U, I'd initially avoided the cemetery at all costs, because it felt weird and disrespectful to cut through it just to cut from campus to downtown. Then, two or three months in, we all stopped caring a much about what the dead thought and more about how many extra seconds we could squeeze out of the mornings before submitting to the horrors of higher education. Besides, we told ourselves, all the other students spent time here. What was the harm?

Another favorite are impulsive characters who wear their hearts on their sleeve. While they’re very smart, they have more love than self control and suffer for it.

The binturong, is also known as the bearcat, because both bears and cats wish they could be him. Also because he looks like a mix between a bear and a cat. Native to southeast Asia, the binturong is a largely arboreal animal with a thick prehensile tail that help it balance and grip onto trees as it hunts for its food. It's an omnivore, eating small animals, insects, fish, and fruits.

The binturong's most notable feature however, isn't how it looks or acts, but how it smells. Like many mammals, the binturong has scent glands, but unlike many mammals, this one smells like popcorn! I love him!
