I love this detail. Probably part of why the Jodie/Sacha-Doctor/Master dynamic is so special to me.

The Spymaster constantly leaning down to remain on the Doctor's eye level, even kneeling to continue on a conversation with her, is such a fascinating part of his and the Doctor's relationship but it's also soooo funny. Man is finally taller than his ex but now it's Weird so he has to keep on bending down to not be above her eye level.

CHAPTER 9 of my New Earth audio novelization... INTENSIVE CARE!

Not a moment later, there was a deep reverberating thrum and the thin hiss of hydraulics somewhere beneath their feet. The Doctor and Rose stumbled back, as – rather incredibly – the entire wall in front of them simply sank down into the floor to reveal a darkened corridor beyond, its grim metal walls blemishing the hospital’s stark, seamless white.

Talk about a secret door.

‘Intensive Care, I suppose,’ the Doctor murmured. He glanced at Rose and caught an excited gleam in her eyes which hadn’t been there before. It looked uncannily like … triumph.

‘Well?’ he asked her. ‘Intensive enough for you?’

Rose gave him a smile; the wrong sort of smile.

‘I suppose it’ll have to do.’

And squaring her shoulders, she strode straight through the opening without a care in the world. She didn’t even look back.

A bit spooked, the Doctor watched her go.

‘Certainly looks intensive …!’ he muttered, before picking up the pace and following her into the dark.

“I'm sorry… so sorry it took me so long to say it. I'm sorry I wasted time. I'm sorry I was such a coward. I'm sorry that... that I made you doubt me…”

Rose lifted her head again, and her eyes were clouded, her mind beginning to drift too far for any more conversation.

“You can make it up to me now.”
