INDIGENOUS MEETS MIL:

Indigenous means native, local, naturally originating or occuring in a particular place. And media information literacy enables people to interpret and make informed judgements as users of information and media, as well as to become skillful creators and producers of information and media messages in their own right.

Media and Information Literacy helps Indigenous things; whether it can be knowledge, communication, media, informations, forms and etc.

By introducing of what indigenous has. In these generation, the world is fully active when it comes to usage of technologies. Whenever and whatever you are, technology is always there. It aims us to catch and gather informations that we need. But in this case, any information that is related to indigenous is sometimes hardly to find it out. But with the help of media and information literacy, it welcomes us about indigenous. We may know and learn about it, because of media and information literacy that we have. People may encounter about it's folk, traditional media, gatherings, social organizations, direct observations, records, oral instruction and etc. This forms may showcased their beauty and elegance of it with the help of media and information literacy.

Her task was all about "Filipino Gods and Goddesses". And the chosen look that I create for her is inspired by Apung Malyari, the Goddess of Moon and Protector of Mount Pinatubo. So I've decided to use this as my topic because it is related to indigenous and to showcased it's beauty by the use of our 3 types of codes (technical, symbolic and written) that we have.

MY PROPAGANDA SPEECH ABOUT OUTING:

First and foremost, I want to personally thank my MIL advisory teacher, Ms. Lissa Barrioga for giving us, Perpetualites, this wonderful opportunity, and I would also like to express my gratitude because of her efforts, considerations, and thoughtfulness not only to me but also to my fellow students as well. Let us all give her a round of applause.

And also to Tumblr users out there who are maybe watching and listening to my speech right now, good day to each and every one.

For my 18 years of existence, I've experienced a lot of things. I know it is not just me but the others as well who are trying to be strong and bold enough in their daily lives due to the peak situations that they have encountered however when it comes to myself, I focus more on finding my true identity.

Ever since I was born my religion is Roman Catholic. You know that most of their people are serious when it comes to that religion.

But here I am, just being so positive and being unproblematic queen as far as I can. The reason behind that is because I'm proud to say that I am gay, who is proud and loud to work it with flying colors.

Being part of the LGBT+ community was never been so easy. At first, I was harassed with the beliefs and judgements of many people to the point wherein it makes me feel uncomfortable which led my mindset was trapped and stocked because it manifested in my mind that whatever I do is a mistake.

It made me realized that I didn't deserve to live by myself peacefully and that I was constrained to express myself freely. And it makes me feel that I'm choked at all times. Like it forces me to surrender or to give up on my life. They're treating me like a bubble that they can easily pop with the use of their fingers. Like the words of us and we. But there's only a space for I and me.

There are times that people are degrading me for being who am I as a person. They force me to admit what gender that I have. They force me to say that I am gay. It's not easy to say it. Take note of that. Because I always have this thinking that the people surrounding me will leave me because I'm different from the others. For my attitude, personality, and behavior that I have. For liking girly stuffs. For admiring straight same-sex men. For being me, as a gay person. It affects and changes the way how I live in my life. It affects more on my mental health, that my anxiety and depression continues to trigger me.

And all I can say to everyone and also to those people who are keeping on forcing a member of their family, friends, or anyone who you think that is a part of our community, just always remember the word, "SPA". Which means, be sensitive, be patient and lastly, be acceptive.

You must learn how to feel of what the other's feeling. Try to put yourself in their shoes. And be more careful and mindful of your actions and words it can hurt or affect anybody, whether it can be physically, emotionally, or mentally.

We must adapt patience to ourselves. Do not precede things, especially when it comes to their personal life. In short, mind your own business girl.

And lastly, learn how to accept without doubts and hesitations when it comes to our genders. Because we are all humans. We are all equals. We are all living and breathing the same air. We all deserved to be loved and appreciated by many. No one deserves to be alone just because he/she is different. And always remember, claim and embrace your uniqueness cuz we are all born this way.

Living in this world is like a technology. It keeps on updating and upgrading more to have an improvement to make our future better.

Just like evolution, during the development of the world, the mechanism by which various kinds of life forms are thought to have evolved and varied from earlier forms.

But did you ever questioned yourself that what would be our life if evolution is not with us??

Well for me, in every situation of our lives, there's always be a positive and negative effects to all of us. The positive effects would be, the learnings on how to move forward and ti know how to adopt and discover new things. It teach us also to be more knowledgeable and to use our broad-knowledge to create something new that can help and be beneficial to everyone. Because, evolution makes what is the society today. And everything that you have seen, heard, read and know l, evolution will always be part of it.

And while if evolution is not existing, our lives will be outdated and miserable in everything. We would never be advance and we would never adapt new things. It makes us feel like were stock in a criwded place that we cannot do things freely.

So always remember that,

Evolution is a process to the gradual evolution of something, especially from a simple form to a more complex more. It will always uncertain to happen to all of us because, it considers that as a change and majority of the people are in favor of the betterment for their future.

Media is like a frienemy of yours. It can be your friend but not as always.

Eventhough it's always there waving and sharing at your side but sometimes, it can lead you to misunderstandings.

Why? Because, media can totally help you to be more aware and be knowledgeable in everything. It helps us also to share freely our thoughts and opinions, especially to those topics that needs the both sides of explanation, so it would be more clear for our understandings.

But always take note also that, not all the things that you read, heard and understand are definitely true. Not because it treats you like a friend, you will always trust about what it says?? It looks so sad if you're living in fake news; like you're just living in a fake world.

To avoid that, we must be more responsible and be an open minded person who really thinks of what is right. 💯

Self-introduction about myself ✨

Being part of the LGBTQ+ community was never been so easy. Because, they're some people who will definitely judge and try to drag you down until you disappeared and give up to your life. They will discriminate you for being who and what you are. Even if you're just spreading your beauty and goodness to others, people will always find your mistakes and eventhough you're just being true and proud to yourself. 💯

Hi,hi,hi guyaz, before I proceed, let me introduce myself to all of you. I'm Simoun Luise Lizo Ocampo but you can call me, "Moun" at day or "Mouna" at night for short. And I'm in legal stage of my life right now which means that I'm an 18 yrs old stunner which I celebrate my birthday last September 9. And I was born in the year, 2002. That means, I'm a year of the horse and proudly virgo here. 🤗💕 A SHS (Grade 12) student at University of Perpetual Help System Dalta-Molino (UPHMO) taking Arts & Design Track and living the "Land of the Brave in the Philippines" Bacoor, Cavite. ✨

People experienced to be bullied by everyone. But, being discriminate and isolated by anyone is a totally different story. I proudly say that I'm a GAY person and part of the LGBTQ+ community. We are all proud to raise our flags with our flying colors. 🌈💕 But not also, being part of the LGBTQ+ is not being bullied or discriminated by anyone, but also were here expressing and showcasing our talents and skills of what we have, just like me. People are always telling me that I'm good when it comes to beauty or makeup stuffs. Because, they appreciated on how I created glam and creative looks. They also appreciated on how I used to paint and blend colors and put it in my face as my canvas. And I think that's the reason why I see myself that I'm an arts and design student because, not just I'm good or well-experienced when it comes to beauty stuffs but also, I really love to create and design artworks. Whatever the medium that I used, I would love to try and explore it more so I can create an artwork that can be memorable to me but also to others as well. I love also collecting artwork materials and I also appreciated and loved the artworks of the others. I enjoy also visiting and touring in museums like seeing some paintings, sculptures and etc. Just everything when it comes to art, I JUST LOVE IT, THAT'S IT. 💖💯

Photography is the one also that I love and enjoy doing it. I love capturing moments in my life, especially the memorable ones. I also love posing and facing infront of the camera. I think that's why fashion possesed me which I love and that's the reason why I also wanted to be a model someday. Or being a vlogger is what I'm achieving it more for this year. Because, I really love and enjoying sharing my experiences especially when it comes to travelling, beauty, sharing my thoughts, ideas and opinions especially to the topics or issues of what is happening right now to our surroundings.

Performing is one of the things that I also love. Because, singing and dancing is one of my hobbies all the time. I'm enjoying doing it and whatever the genre is, I always appreciated everything. That's why Beyonce, Taylor Swift, BLACKPINK and etc. are my inspirations to be a successful artist like them. Acting is one of the things that I also loved. I'm also enjoying on how they show and express their feelings based to their characters infront of the camera. I think that's the reason why I love watching movies, series and kdramas especially in Netflix and I really admire so many artists. Like Anne Curtis, Emma Watson, Emma Roberts, Lady Gaga and the actors and actresses in kdrama. ❣

All of those informations about me are the things that I strongly hold it by myself to achieve my goals and dreams in life. Like being a successful artist with a lot of projects, shoots, endorsements, businesses and other things that can help other people especially to my forever lovely and supportive family. And as an artist, I will work hard & strively more to make a masterpiece that cannot be forgotten by everyone.
