Puki, how do you deal with making something you're initially proud to display, but later come to hate, even when people still seem to like it well enough?

If this is about art, then don't worry, self-scrutiny both fuels an artist and blindsides them to their own worldly-contributions. You were proud of it back then because it was probably the best you could do at the time, now you can do more, so you wrongfully feel regret for ever having pride in your old artwork to begin with. Even if you hate your old art, that is the art that eventually lead you to the art you DO feel proud of making now. Also, the average person does not care about your skill, they merely like the art for the art, even if you can technically make better art now, it doesn't erase the fact that people enjoy your older work as well.

I haven’t played on the new planet yet; I can’t draw his fuckass rings or tattoo thing. I can’t wait to see him when I finally get to Amphoreus. In my head, he’s literally the second image (feel free to tell me if he actually isn’t like this) I don’t know how his hair works. I drew him because I believe if I draw my favourites, I will win the 50/50. I put too much effort into this; I spent 1 hour and 58 minutes on it.
