Backing up your Tumblr blog to WordPress

In this tutorial we’ll teach you how to make a copy of your Tumblr blog onto WordPress.com to act as a backup.

The first two steps don’t need to be followed if you already use WordPress.com.

1. Sign up for a WordPress.com account

You need a WordPress.com blog, simply follow the steps to select your username and confirm your account via email.

2. Open WordPress Admin

Click on My Site

Select the WP Admin you wish to import into

3. Visit the import tools page

In the sidebar menu select ‘tools’ and then ‘import’.

4. Select import from Tumblr

5. Allow Tumblr access

Click the ‘Connect to Tumblr to begin’ button. You may need to log into Tumblr if you haven’t already. Be sure to allow access to WordPress.com

6. Start the import!

Once authenticated you can select your Tumblr blog from the list of your blogs and click on ‘Import this blog’.

And you’re done, WordPress.com takes care of the rest and will create a copy of your posts onto your WordPress.com blog.

YESSSSSSSSSS

So….after much “debate” with my better half, I pulled the kids out of school and day care to treat everyone to a special trip. It was a secret up until we got there. Two hour drive and I swear….Kinley and Callie’s faces lit up when we rounded the corner and stumbled onto…

Hogwarts. Its actually a new magic (science) center that just opened up. I could barely keep the two of them tamed, and by proxy, Korbin. Sariyah is like me in a lot of ways. She was over it when Korbin started to speed walk behind his mother and sister. 

Callie ran inside to the gift shop and came back with a Hufflepuff uniform. I must say…This place is friggin amazing. Its screen accurate mostly and they have different classes and workshops tailored to what faction you choose. Even Sariyah was starting to enjoy it. While she took her younger siblings around, me and Kinley snuck away to the great hall. She was literally geeking out, screaming out spells left and right. When I finally got her attention…

BAM! I dropped to one knee. I was nervous as hell. I did a solid knee and suddenly my stomach was in my ass.

“Kinley Blackburn…..Would you do me the honor, my sweet Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, of marrying this humble and dashing Slytherin?”

At this point….I had to take a shit. A real bad one. There is nothing like a nervous shit. Maybe the flu shits…but I digress. She stood there for what seemed like eternity and I could feel my stomach bubble more and more until I heard that familiar groan that told me….I needed to find a toiler and fast. 

Onyx tears began to stain her cheeks. She was crying, nodding her head furiously at me.

“Yes….Yes…..YES….Get up here before you shit yourself!”

She could tell I was nervous or that groan echoed through the empty dining hall. The feeling went away and I slipped the ring on her finger, sealing a deal that was long overdue. We endured couples counseling. She taught me to lighten up and embrace this normal, fun life. I taught her to embrace her inner darkness and how to defend herself and our kids in case Im not there. 

Sariyah came back in time to take the pictures…when I noticed she had my wallet….and Callie had bags of stuff on her arms….and Korbin was dragging his own bag. Wooooo-sah.

Side note: This lot kicked the ever living shit out of my laptop. I was going to do more pictures, but it literally took me a day and a half just to get these. I cant remember where I got it from, but this lot is huge and gorgeous.
