It makes me sad that most people around me are so unbelievably burnt out from work and life that they are just truly emotionally unavailable and don't even wanna use their energy for anything beside going out partying once a weekend

It's like watching friends who you've seen be silly and have deep talks work jobs to the point of stress where they are incoherent and respond to messages like legit 6 days later and not in a rude way but genuinely they don't have the mental capacity to do shit anymore

Working jobs and paying bills shouldn't take everything out of people to the extent it really does

Even when I'm off work and I had a shorter shift most of the time I truly have nothing left in the tank after the combo of emotions and physical labor

Hot Takes: Christian Addition

some in regards to the people practicing, some in regards to the general world.

-You can respect lgbt+ ppl without supporting

-Gender has gotten too convoluted

-Trans ppl existing does not affect us and there are bigger problems in the world today.

-Ppl should stop cherry picking the Bible.

-Not everything in the Bible is supposed to be taken word for word literally. Context clues and media literacy rlly help with some verses.

-There are other sins beyond ppl being lgbt+ that should be talked about more.

-The Bible is not sexist, but some "Christians" are

-Abortion is not a black and white issue

-Some ppl love to call out bigotry, unless it's happening to a Christian. In that case they turn a blind eye.

-Prayer is a better version of journaling

-Unless the people or plot explicitly insult Christianity, you can watch that show or listen to that artist if it doesn't affect your walk with God

-We're all sinners, there is no excuse for bigotry

-Whether cussing is sinful depends on how you use the word.

-Trump is causing more harm than good

I will say it again:

The LGBTQ+ person who asks Christians to "welcome and accept them without telling them they should change" is openly demanding that the Christians change. From being Christians, to being non-Christians.

Because Christ died to save you from who you used to be. When you become a Christian, you're choosing to change from who you were to who He tells you to be. That is Christianity. To tell Christians to stop talking and behaving like that is what they believe is to not only reject Christianity yourself, but demand that they reject it, too.

Do not listen to any influencer, pop culture icon, or person who says to you that Christians do not love LGBTQ+ people, because they say LGBTQ+ people should change who they are.

Christians change who they are. More accurately, they let Christ change who they are. That’s how they became Christians. Truth goes hand in hand with love—it is not avoiding it. Because love is not anti-rejection. Love rejects plenty of things! Love rejects hatred, self-focus, and lies. So of course Christians who believe in a God that says, “let Me change you into who you’re meant to be” can tell you that you need to change—and that is loving. They love you, and they’re not okay with leaving you the way you are. Because Christ didn’t leave them, the Christians, the way they were.

Don't listen to anyone, "Christian" or otherwise, who tells you different.
