It's time to talk about Thieves in Time. Controversial, yes. But in my opinion, it's not a bad game at all! (Most of the issues stem from story decisions tbh)

So, we've asked this question for the original trilogy, and now it's time we settled this for Thieves in Time as well!

"I love when in Sly 3, during the Tsao boss fight, Sly tells Tsao that 'I've faced a lot of bad men in my time, but you sir, are the worst,' in response to Tsao dismissing Jing King's personhood. First off, we love a feminist king. But secondly, I'd quickly point out that Sly has faced some REALLY bad men in his life up to that point. Like Clockwerk…the guy who was responsible for Sly's dad's death. Arpeggio / Neyla, who attempted to throw hundreds (if not thousands) of people into a mindless rage to achieve immortality. But no, it's the raging misogynist that icks him out the most. I love that."

"In a way, I am thankful that Sly 4 exists. It makes for a fun exercise in finding and pointing out story contradictions not only with the classic trilogy, but with itself. Writing this incompetent can only be described as legendary, and I am impressed by how badly the writers fumbled. It also makes me appreciate the trilogy more."

"No joke, a Sly Cooper kart racing game would be so awesome; it has the character and level variety for it!"

"Sometimes I wonder if Interpol realizes that they are actually better off if Sly is never arrested. No, think about it. Nearly every time Sly and the gang has defeated one of the bosses in the game that boss gets arrested by Inspector Fox. Most of these guys are extremely dangerous and a threat to public safety too. And Sly and the gang aren't really ever that much of a threat to public safety given that they never target any one innocent and only go after criminals…why would they invest so much into catching him and his gang? In fact, the Cooper gang targeting someone is honestly a major red flag that should clue Interpol in the fact that something is fishy. It'd also explain how Sly was able to pull of that amnesia stunt with the rest of Interpol, some higher up must of known what he was trying to do and just went with it. It's kinda funny to reinterpret the story."

"It might only be a good idea in my head, but! I’d love to see Sly Cooper have a crossover with The Bad Guys and/or Lackadaisy. Neither are likely to happen officially. But I guess that’s where fan works come in."

"Penelope turning against the gang in Thieves in Time didn’t make any sense. I think it would have been better if she was hypnotized and Le Paradox manipulated her to turn against the gang."
