A Little Light in the Night

Once upon a time, there was a star, twinkling, shiny and bright, in the darkness of the night.

It looked down upon the earth, with its swirls of blue and green and white, listening to whispered wishes and pleas.

The star was curious, and wished to see, see everything closer, the colors and whispers, but the other stars warned against it.

'Danger' they hissed, cold and harsh, 'We were born to burn and blister-' 'Life is not made for us, 'for dying would be agony.'

But the star wanted more. More than the pain, More than the emptiness.

And so the star made a wish.

A bright streak fell across the night, splashing it with burning light, as a new creature opened her eyes.

Impossibly small, incredibly weak, but bright as the stars in the sky, with wings that caught her falls.

A creature born from a wish, a little light in the dark, the dark that calls itself 'Night'.

I am in the PST Timezone, but anyone of any time is welcome to join! All we ask is you're able to write in the 3rd Person, Past Tense.

You'll be allowed to play as either a College Student, or a Professor! Negotiations however can be made.
