Happy Birthday (fem!reader x severus)

Exhausted. Thats how he felt. Severus was done teaching and all he looked foward to was a relaxing bath and a couple of hours of productive reading. Although that is how he mostly spent his birthday, he was rather disappointed (y/n) hadn't contacted him at all today. He was aware that being an auror consumed most of your time but he was damn sure you could have taken at least five minutes of your time to write him a simple message. He didn't want anything fancy, just an acknowledgment of you caring enough to remember the day he was born. Was that too much to ask? The more he thought about it the angrier he got and by the time he reached his quarters he was ready to send you an angry letter expressing his disappointment. As he opened the door, he noticed something was off. With silent movements, he proceeded to investigate the room. He searched every corner of his living room and then moved to search his bedroom. He slowly opened the door, careful to not alert anyone of his presence. The bedroom was untouched, but the spy new better than to let his guard down. The professor moved to open the door of his wardrobe when a noise coming from the bathroom gave away the intruder's location.

"Found you," he whispered to himself, as he prepared to stun whoever dare violate his privacy.

Severus slowly opened the door and peeked inside, expecting to catch the little shit who came into his room uninvited. However, whatever he found left him speechless and unable to move. There, in front of him was his fiancee, naked, holding two champagne glasses.

"Happy Birthday, Severus." She smiled.

Severus could barely believe that this was real. He knew she was self-conscious, something he didnt understand because she is drop dead gorgeous. And he also knew she would never, in a million years, have done that no matter how much he insisted. Naturally, he knew she must have had to overcome her fears for him. To please him.

"You remembered," he blurted. He mentally kicked himself for his response. There was so much he wanted to say, but that was the only thing that came out.

"Of course, I did. I know you know I'm busy most of the time but to me, you always come first. Always," she said.

Her eyes showed so much love he got lost in them. When he snapped out of it he realized she was in front of him. Not being able to take it, he grabbed her by her waist and joined his lips with hers. He poured all his emotions into that kiss until it left them both breathless.

"I dont deserve you, I thought you forgot about today's date. I'm sorry."

Severus rarely admitted these things to anyone but (y/n) was an exception. He told her every secret he had, every thought that ran through his head. He trusted her with his life, but sometimes his insecurities got the best of him.

A gentle hand on his cheek snapped him out of his self-deprecating thoughts. He looked into those beautiful (e/c) eyes and saw love, compassion, devotion and understanding.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you anything. I wanted it to be a surprise. Please don't feel bad about it. I love you"

God he didnt deserve her, but he was glad he had her. He hugged her tight, as thought he would disappear the minute he let her go.

"Let us not dwell on it, Severus. The night is still young and I want to give you your present. I really think you'll love it." She seductively whispered in his ear while slowly undoing the buttons of his coat and shirt.

(Tenth Doctor x Reader)

Cybermen. Of course it had to be the cybermen. Oh how you wished your Doctor was here right now. Where was he? Probably off saving some planet. You had told told him you wanted to visit your family for a week or so. Yet your family won't have you for another half a century. The TARDIS had dropped you off in the wrong time period and into danger, as always.

Everything was fine for the first 2 days. You had figured the Doctor would pick you up after the week ended. But nope, nothing is ever that simple, innocent civilians were now being attacked. Since you weren't in a mood to get upgraded today, grabbing a baseball bat that was lying near a destroyed shop was going to be your defense. It wasn't much, but it would help..somewhat anyway.

The last few hours had been a blur, you had saved multiple people from turning into emotionless robots. Things were going somewhat well.

But alas good things have to end..a Cyberman had caught you and dragged you to their base. You were moments away from being upgraded...Until..

A familiar sound filled the air..and you prayed to the Time Lords that it was him.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on her!" You heard a voice shout over an intercom.

The Doctor was going to rescue you. You internally jumped for joy.

The next thing that happened were sparks. Yes sparks. They were flying everywhere, you had figured the Doctor had something to do with it. A few of the Cybermen were malfunctioning and you were released from the cuffs that held you in place.

And now you were fleeing for your life, yet a Cyberman just had to be blocking your way. You had to face your fate. You were going to die by getting shot by a Cyberman.

But as luck may have it, the Doctor had appeared from out of nowhere and disabled the robot. Suddenly he grabbed your wrist and ran;you trying to keep up.

It was exhilarating..a rush..You had barely escaped with your life. Yet you sort of liked the adrenaline rush.

"Why..how did you know that the Cybermen were here?" You asked the Doctor, slightly out of breath.

He gulped..looking slightly nervous and saddened. "Is something wrong?"

"Y/N...when I dropped you off, I was a little lonely..so I went to the late 19th century to look around of course I hadn't had known I dropped you off in the mid 19th century."

"I saw a woman Y/N..I saw a woman painting you, I assumed she was painting a distant relative of yours..but I had asked the lady..she said you were the girl that had died trying to save her family from silver looking machines.."

The Doctor now had a few tears rolling down his cheeks.

"You died.." He whispered in a weak voice.

"It was my fault.." More tears slid down his cheeks.

"No..don't say that..You saved me.."

"But..but if I had been more careful-"

"Wait. If you found out that I died..then wouldn't you be creating a paradox?" You interrupted.

"I know...I changed the laws of time and space to save you.."

You pulled him into an embrace.

"Oh you bloody idiot."

"A life without you Y/N isn't a life worth living..No matter how long or short..I couldn't possibly ever live without you."

"I may have two hearts, but yet you've stolen both of them with such ease."

You gazed into his glossy eyes before pulling him into a kiss.

•Getting extra potion lessons.

•Having to work twice as hard as your classmates to impress your boyfriend with your academic achievements.

•‎Him getting jealous of how close you are to your guy friends and knowing you can't act like that with him in public.

•‎Reassuring him that, even if he's older than you, you wouldn't want to be with anybody else.

•‎Skipping quidditch games when slytherin is not playing to spend more time with Severus.

•‎Sending each other letters all the time and enjoying watching the other's facial expression when opening the letter.

•‎Spending Christmas break with Severus in Spinners End.

•‎Helping him get over his childhood traumas.

•‎You defending him from your friends and classmates.

•‎Purposely getting detention just to have an excuse to spend the evenings with him.

•‎Him helping you study for your NEWT's.

•‎Severus handsomely rewarding you later at night for having passed your tests.
