So I was at my husbands work camp out...

And we were all having dinner the first night just some barbecued hotdogs and burgers. And this happened...

Hubby: Oh are the buns gluten free by any chance?

Work Griller: No we couldn’t find any at the store.

Work Grillers Wife: we did look tho. The only ones were sold out.

Some Dick: Huh? No buns?

Hubby: No, none gluten free.

Dick: What the fuck? What fucking weird shit wants them gluten free?

Me: *meeting everyone for first time and nervous* Oh, uh me actually.

Dick: Don’t tell me you’re one of those people who is gluten free and shit.

Me: Actually yes, I try to be as much as I can. I have IBS and gluten along with Dairy are my two major triggers.

Dick: Ya sure that isn’t just all in you’re head?

Me: W-what?

Dicks wife: I bet ya get asked that a lot huh?

As someone with mental illnesses I’m used to being told the problem is in my head. But never did I think I’d be told an “actual” seen by doctors on screens and has painful side effects (gluten makes my abs turn into a 4 month pregnant women) physical illness would be “all in my head”.
