heeseung laid against the couch, scrolling on his phone. you had gone out with your friends to hang out and do girlie stuff. he enjoyed the peace and quiet he had in the apartment. not that you were loud or anything.

his ears perked up when he heard the door open and heard you shuffling to kick off your shoes. once your shoes were off you ran inside and jumped on the couch next to heeseung.

heeseung noticed the excited smile that was on your lips. you looked like you wanted to show something to him.

"hi, baby." you say, smiling. heeseung smiles and sits up, pulling you closer. "hi, darling." he kisses your cheek softly. "you look happy." he says, shifting you on to his lap.

"i got my nails done today!" you exclaim, holding your hands out for heeseung to see. "do you like them?" you ask him. you have this starry look in your eyes and heeseung swears he falls for you again.

he takes your hands in his and examines your nails. he notices all the different colors, from the blues to the pinks and greens. they look beautiful on you.

"i love them." he whispers, pulling you closer and wrapping his arms around your waist. "they look beautiful." he meets your eyes, a silly smile traces his lips and all you want to do is stare at him all day.

"thank you." you blush a bit. heeseung chuckles and you giggle. no words need to be said when heeseung's looking at you like that. his eyes trace every single curve of your face, almost like he's trying to memorize it.

his hands find their way to the small of your back, pressing you closer to him. you smile as you lean closer to heeseung. you place your head on his shoulder and relax against him.

"next time i'll get my nails done with you." he says suddenly. you lift your head, giving him a smile. "what?" you say, a hint of shock in your voice.

heeseung pouts, his cheeks heating up just a bit. "i just really want to match with you."

if my boyfriend doesnt do this i dont want him 😔

a bouquet of flower - choi yeonjun

summary -> yeonjun always keeps one flower to himself from your bouquet and you can't figure out why.

one flower.

you for the life of you couldn’t wrap your head around it. whenever yeonjun gave you a bouquet, you noticed how there was one singular flower of the same kind sitting promptly on yeonjun’s countertop. first gone unnoticed until around the third or fourth set of flowers.

yeonjun always did little things that left you perplexed. always taking the long way home, watching movies on live television when he already owned them. he was a puzzle you were dying to solve.

you sat there, propped up on your elbows, staring at the singular rose that faced you.

“baby?“ yeonjun calls.

"yeah?” immediately refocusing your stares onto him in front of you.

“can you pass the salt?” he asks with a small smile.

you do nothing but smile in return as you push the salt yeonjun’s way.

“now, I know your rule, but just for once let the cook clean up.” yeonjun speaks, breaking the small silence.

“but-”

“i know today wasn’t the easiest so let me, please.” he pleads.

“i never said today was hard.” you replied, not necessarily denying it.

“you said your friend called out, I know things tend to be rough without her on saturdays.” yeonjun retorts.

“i don’t deserve you, yeonjun.” reaching over the counter to lightly press a small kiss to yeonjun’s lips.

yeonjun kept his promise, cleaning up while telling you about the next song he was working on.

your arms find their way wrapped around yeonjun’s waist as he hums in response.

your eyes meet the rose once again.

“why do you always keep one?” you blurt out.

yeonjun wipes his hands on the wash cloth, turning around. he blinks for a moment before tilting his head, “what?”

“the flowers. whenever you get me flowers you keep one. not that I mind I mean obviously keep one if you like the flowers, but-”

“oh! I keep one to see when it dies.” yeonjun interrupts.

“you what..?” you said being even more lost than before.

“you know, so I know when to get you more.” he states as if this was common knowledge.

all of your thoughts are consumed by yeonjun. like a wave swallowing you whole and you wanted to be pulled under.

everything yeonjun did made your heart pound. the way yeonjun leaves little notes around the house for you. the way yeonjun’s smile leaves you breathless. the way yeonjun scrunches his face when you tell a terrible joke. the way yeonjun didn’t understand how absolutely perfect he was.

“i love you.” you confess, barely above a whisper. quite obviously terrified to say it out loud.

“that’s good because i love you too.” yeonjun says, calming you down instantly, not that your heart wasn’t still racing.

“i’m gonna kiss you now.” is all you say before cupping yeonjun’s cheek and smashing your lips together.

YN WAS IN the middle of internally questioning her luck, when her manager, donghyun, snapped her out of her thoughts.

“yn? we’re here.” she didn’t have the energy to give him anything more than a nod—not only because the whole heeseung ordeal was stressful enough, but her managers had so kindly scheduled this meeting for 8am—and she slid out of the car door, looking up at the massive HYBE building in front of her, its height seemingly taunting her and her unfortunate circumstances. her and heeseung’s managers had settled on this location, as it was a safer option than a local coffee shop where they’d likely be spotted by fans.

it was equally as stunning on the inside as it was on the outside, she mentally remarked, as she strode in the door being held open for her. sure, she’d been here before for meetings or to pick up soobin after practice for late night ramen runs, but it never failed to amaze her. CUBE seemed incredibly dull in comparison—and not just physically.

“alright, they said to meet them on the 4th floor… room 407,” donghyun read off from his text messages, giving yn an encouraging smile. the elevator ride felt far too short, yn thought, its ding! a signal they’d arrived, but also that yn was too close to the moment she’d been dreading.

it didn’t take them long to find the room, as a staff member stood outside of room 407, holding its door open and beckoning them inside while offering them coffee. yn accepted it hastily. she would need something to get her through this.

“ah, i’m incredibly sorry,” the staff member who yn assumed to be heeseung’s manager started, sitting across from yn and her manager. “heeseung’s running a bit late this morning. he should be here any minute now.”

really? even when he’s not physically present he still manages to be an inconvenience. yn texted her mental complaints to her group chat and scoffed. but, heeseung’s manager—who introduced herself as sunhee—was correct, and not even two minutes later the man himself rushed into the room, running a hand through his disheveled hair. yn couldn’t help but laugh at the idea that his tardiness may have been the result of his photoshoot she’d seen pictures from on his twitter earlier.

“i’m so sorry,” he began, taking the seat directly across from yn. “i hope you weren’t waiting too long?” he was speaking to her and her manager, but that didn’t stop him from keeping his eyes locked solely on yn.

“no worries, we just arrived.” heeseung visibly relaxed then, nodding at donghyun’s words.

“oh, good,” he smiled, folding his hands properly on the table. “it’s nice to see you, yn.”

“yeah, you too.” yn leaned back casually, her arms crossed.

what is up with him and his staring? she watched him as his eyes observed her face, as if she was a specimen he had to study. he let his eyes drop only momentarily to the rest of her, a notion that didn’t go unnoticed by yn. creep.

“well,” donghyun began after introducing himself to heeseung. “i hear there’s some… discord between the two of you?”

“yes.”

“not really.”

they spoke their conflicting answers simultaneously, making their managers exchange confused glances. yn gave heeseung a stern look, but the look he gave her in return was nothing but playful.

“to clarify, she doesn’t like me.” heeseung’s grin grew as he watched yn visibly swell with frustration.

“for valid reasons.”

“such as?”

“do you want a list?”

“i don’t think i’m that awful, yn.”

“well, heeseung, maybe you should rethink that.”

“hm, you’re cute when you’re angry.”

he cannot be serious.

“heeseung, i swear—”

“okay!” sunhee clapped her hands together, casting donghyun a concerned look, but he only laughed.

“ah, i think i see what’s going on here.” he twirled the pen in his hand. he gave sunhee a knowing grin, and she nodded in agreement. whatever nonverbal language this was, yn didn’t like it. “but i digress. our goal today is to get you two on better terms, but obviously we have some ways to go…”

“definitely.” sunhee sighed, stirring her coffee.

“hey, not my fault,” heeseung chimed in, raising his hands defensively, and it took everything in yn not to throw her latte on his face. “come on, let’s just be friends, yn, hm?”

“no.”

“no.”

“well, i tried.” he combed his hair with his fingers again, keeping eye contact that yn hated to admit made her stomach churn. she could certainly admit he was an asshole, but to call him anything less than gorgeous would simply be a lie.
