A little group of goblins feeding on the roadside remains of a mysterious beast. On the top left, the "matriarch" of the group, recognizable by her size and full coat of feathers.

A group of goblins is called a gaggle, a pack, or a tribe. Goblins do not reach sexual maturity upon adulthood. Instead, they congregate in groups typically comprised of a reproductive female (matriarch) and a dozen of non-reproductive goblins of various ages. Male goblins are called drones and only exist temporarily during breeding season, after which they revert to being asexual. Reproductive females start off looking normal and are transformed into matriarchs over years of hormonal cycles.
