Chuuya walked through the quiet alley, his footsteps steady and purposeful. The Boss had sent him to find Dazai, and he knew exactly what that meant. This wasn’t the first time Dazai had gotten himself in trouble, and Chuuya wasn’t about to lose his cool over it.

When he found him, Dazai was leaning weakly against the wall, his face pale, his body trembling from pain. Chuuya’s eyes narrowed, not at all surprised by the sight.

"Dazai."

Dazai’s eyes fluttered open, and for a brief moment, he smiled. "Chuuya…" His voice was weak, strained. Without warning, he leaned into Chuuya, his body unsteady, as if gravity had become too much for him to fight.

Chuuya’s arms instinctively wrapped around Dazai to catch him, but before he could respond, Dazai pressed his lips gently to Chuuya’s. It was brief, but enough to send a jolt through Chuuya. When Dazai pulled away, he muttered in a hoarse, almost defeated voice, "It tastes like cigarettes..."

Chuuya’s chest tightened, but he quickly masked it with his usual cool demeanor. He steadied Dazai, holding him up as the other man swayed, clearly struggling. "You’re an idiot," Chuuya said with a sigh. "What did you get yourself into this time?"

"It hurts..." Dazai whispered, his grip weakly clutching at Chuuya’s sleeve.

Chuuya stayed calm, his gaze softening just slightly as he adjusted Dazai in his arms. "I know it does," he muttered, his voice low but firm. "I’m not going anywhere."

Dazai’s eyes flickered, and he gave a faint, pained smile. "Chuuya… I don’t want the antidote… the side effects…"

Chuuya didn’t hesitate. He’d heard this excuse before. The side effects were severe, but he didn’t care. Dazai wasn’t getting out of this one.

"You don’t get to decide this time," Chuuya said, his tone firm but not unkind. "You’ll take it, whether you like it or not."

Dazai’s grip tightened for a moment, but then his body went slack against Chuuya, the pain clearly overwhelming him. Chuuya adjusted his hold, keeping him steady.

"Maybe that’s why I came to pick you up," Chuuya muttered quietly, almost to himself. "To make sure you don’t get yourself killed."

He stayed there, holding Dazai in his arms, his mind already calculating how to get him back to safety. They’d been through this before, and Chuuya wouldn’t let Dazai go through it alone again.

But just when it seems like Ango is completely out of luck, he manages to turn things around by playing hide-and-seek with the kids! 🕵️‍♂️🎉 In the end, the kids end up loving Ango because he actually plays with them—unlike Dazai, who usually watches from the sidelines. The look on Dazai's face when Ango becomes the new favorite? Priceless. 😂
