Santana: smiled sadly and leaned her head against the backboard of the bed. "Come home, Finn." She requested softly. "Come home and then take us back with you. In the morning, we'll go to the hotel with you and my parents can babysit while I see you perform tomorrow night. Carlsbad is only a 35 minute drive from San Diego and I know for a fact that they won't say no." Santana had been miserable for weeks but one somewhat honest conversation with Finn had offered her a glimmer of hope she thought would never return. Smiling softly against the phone, she turned her head and stared at the spot her husband called his on their bed. "Come home, baby. Your family misses you."

Finn: swung his legs off the bed so he could start getting some things together for his trip home. He probably would've done it anyway, but he was kind of glad she said it out loud too. "I miss you too. Two hours and then I'll be there," he said, already opening the app to order the car. He made a mental note to himself to remember to text the band where he went, but he could do that all on the drive. "You don't have to wait up for me, but I'll see you soon, okay? Love you," he said before hanging up so he could go home.

Santana: hummed quietly because despite everything she currently believed about herself, she knew Finn would go through any storm just so she knew she was loved. "I know." She replied quietly before sitting up in their bed. "Are we really going to be that couple who can't even go a week without seeing each other?" She asked, a small laugh escaping her lips. "But Mateo does miss his daddy so that wouldn't exactly be a lie. Two nights ago the only way I could get him to sleep was when I put on your sweatshirt and sang to him. I think he missed the smell of you or something."

Finn: squeezed his eyes closed for a second before opening them and sitting up in the bed. "I think we're about to be 'cause that's the second heart breaking thing I've heard tonight," he said, "I don't think it's a bad thing to not want to be away from you. Or him. Especially not at this stage in the game." He sighed and realized he didn't want to sound ungrateful for the opportunity he had in front of him. "Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I'm doing this and that you helped me say yes and stuff, but I think I can make both work at the same time. Home and work."

Santana: continued wiping away the tears that seemed to be ever present and sniffled quietly. "We both know that my head can be a really dangerous place." She whispered sadly. Glancing over at the clock on Finn's bedside table, Santana reached out for her husband's pillow and gently ran her fingertips along it. "I'm so proud of you for going on this tour but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't missing you like crazy. I just... I really can't wait until you're home."

Finn: smiled sadly at her remark because he'd heard that one before. "And you know I'd brave anything for you," he said, hoping his tone would get across just how much he meant that. "I'm only an hour and a half away, baby. I can come home as long as I'm back before the show tomorrow, and I know the guys won't care. I could just say it's something for Mateo so your business isn't all over the place."

Santana: felt tears pooling in her eyes and she couldn't help the way her bottom lip trembled at Finn's constant reassurance. Opening her eyes, she stared at a spot on the ceiling and did her best to level out her breathing. "Do you remember how I said I stopped feeling like myself towards the end of the pregnancy? Well, I always assumed once I gave birth I'd get that feeling back but somehow it's become worse. I'm not pregnant anymore so I have no excuse to look the way I do... and I know I'm being hard on myself but I can seem to shut out the voice that's telling me I'm not good enough." With her voice cracking as her emotions became too much to hide, Santana brushed away the tears that rolled down her cheeks and sighed. "I just want to feel like myself again, Finn."

Finn: was seriously considering fronting money for the hour and a half Uber it would take to get him home. It was bad enough that there really wasn't anything he could do to help, but hearing her cry over the phone was breaking his heart and it sucked that all he had were words, especially because those were not his specialty. "I remember when you said that. I think... to me it's like, you were pregnant for 9 whole months, right? And you went through so much and worked so hard, so it's only been 6 weeks and I think it takes bodies longer than that recupe, you know? But I don't think that changes who you are. At least not to me. You're the same person, but now you're also a mom and I think that's freaking awesome," he said, not sure if he was making any sense. "I wish I could tell that voice that's saying that to shut the hell up because it's not true. You're so beyond good and everybody knows it and I wish you could know that too."

Santana: closed her eyes and tried to really absorb everything Finn was telling her but the entire time he was speaking, all she kept thinking was that he was a liar. "How can you say that when I look the way I do?" She asked quietly, squeezing her eyes shut even tighter. "Because when I look in the mirror, I can't imagine a world where you would want to see me naked. It's why you haven't. And what if you think you'll like it but then you actually see it and are repulsed? I'd rather just avoid it until I think I meet a certain standard."

Finn: kind of wished they weren't having this conversation over the phone. It felt like it would be better in person, but also it seemed really important and like it couldn't wait any longer than right this minute. "Somehow I think what you're seeing and what I'm seeing are not the same thing, because we're in that world. You're my wife and I love you and I'm so attracted to you, so I wanna see you naked just as much as I did before Mateo. And like, that's not me saying I don't respect you wanting to wait or anything, I'm just saying that you don't have to worry about the me side of it, promise."
