chapter 1 and chapter 2 of my "The return of the snarlbeast" comic are now fully done and are now on my blog. Will work on chapter 3 soon but wont be completed for a few weeks or so.

The return of the snarl beast - Chapter 2

The finished pages for Chapter 2 is here. Dib tries to persuade Tak's ship to take the snarl beast back home but that's not gonna happen.

I know people really want Dib to trust the snarl beast soon but be patient. Dib has trust issues. At some point things will be different but not yet :)

On a side note , it was nice to draw the snarl beast again :)

The return of snarl beast - Chapter 1

Going forward this comic will be done in just line art so thought id reupload this chapter to look like the future chapter's. The script in this chapter is only slightly different but overall it's more as least the same.

Well it's certainty been a while since I updated my snarl beast comic hasn't it ... I have my reasons , one being life kept me busy and the other being in which I physically could not even draw with my drawing arm 😅 , but other than that I just didn't know if I should contuine it or not.

If I did continue it would just be line art going forward as colouring it all in takes alot of time and I actually think it looks better without colour as I'm not the best colourist. I've already redone my first chapter in lineart and nearly finished the rest of chapter 2 as that's where I left of but as a heads up the dialogue has changed a bit so even though people have already read chapter 1 and part of 2 it would be good to reread the newer version going forward.

I hope I do one day finish the entire comic but it will be a while till its all completed. At least chapter 2 will be done :)

I think Dib doesn't like things having Many teeth or the idea of being eaten by those things who have many teeth...

But what I found interesting about this was how in the Halloween episode when Dib meets the Gaz that is in his head , she doesn't say anything about wanting to eat him yet Dib cant help but keep looking at her teeth all petrified. Like it just fixates on her teeth a lot while dib just looks at them in horror.

Maybe it's just because she can't drink her dark poop properly due to her misshapen mouth but I still found the idea of Dib having a discomfort of "teeth" interesting none the less.

Poor Dib , can't catch a break ;)

Hey, so question for the IZ fandom

Did we ever decide on a name for Dib's pet snarl beast?

The more I think about it, not letting Dib keep the snarl beast was such a missed opportunity. Like, Snarl could've been Dib's answer to GIR, and I don't just mean in the sense of being a mascot character that could single-handedly double Hot Topic's annual income.

Like, imagine Dib has this space kitty. He tries to show it to his dad to convince him aliens are real, but he doesn't even believe Tak's ship is an alien spacecraft so why wouldn't he think it's just an ordinary blue cat suffering from some horrible mutation? Dib figures, "Oh well, I can at least use it to attack Zim, right? But just like GIR with his arsenal that he never uses, Dib can never get Snarl to whip out its beast form and attack on command. Snarl only ever transforms at the most inconvenient times, when no one else is looking and Dib can be blamed for whatever destruction it causes. It hinders Dib far more often than it helps but never actively sets out to hurt Dib because it loves him just as much as GIR loves his master. Dib would never part with Snarl despite all the grief it causes him partly because he does enjoy its company and partially because having an alien monster for a pet makes him feel special, just like how Zim occasionally enjoys GIRs company but mostly keeps him around because he was a personal gift from the Tallest.

Zimtober22 - Protect

When you don't want your dad to find your new space pet, when you really don't want your new space pet to eat your dad, and when you just don't understand why your son would bring a cat into the house when he knows he has a cat allergy.

Had a couple ideas on which way this could go, so I figured I'd post the inks for both while I try to figure out which one to color (and yes, I'm aware it's very very late)
