WWF Women’s Champion Rockin’ Robin [February 11th, 1989]

Named after a Bobby Day song (which was later covered by the Jackson Five), Rockin’ Robin hold the distinction of holding the WWF Women’s Championship for the longest reign of the modern era. Robin defeated Sensational Sherri, who herself had an impressive reign at 441 days, to kick off a title reign that would last 502 days. That’s a record that no women broke for 29 years until just recently, as Asuka reigned for 510 days as the NXT Women’s Champion.

Rockin’ Robin’s title reign ended on February 21st, 1990, as she had left the company and the title was deemed inactive. The WWF Women’s Championship wouldn’t return until 1993.
