like, i’m sorry, but she is absolutely GORGEOUS. i don’t blame jack for any interest he had in her (even tho he was definitely gay for davey). but srsly!! ele keats is actually so pretty!!

even though she definitely could have been developed better as a character, sarah is still one of my favorites. in the original 92sies script, she had a much larger role, more lines, and was written as more of an activist. obviously better than the final version. i really like how some fansies have interpreted her character and written her as a more confident and intelligent person.

and of course, shipping her with kath works so well for so many reasons. Taking the main character’s two love interests and making them gay and dating is one of my favorite tropes. Plus, since sarah and kath don’t exist in the same version, there’s a lot of room for creativity when it comes to writing the characters interacting.

ALSO: ele keats got so much hate after newsies released. the reviews hated on her character (and by extension, her) a lot. disney even sent ele a book of hateful reviews, which was pretty fuckin weird. like why?? why would you send a young actress a record of so many people hating on her??
