50. Are they good at remembering significant dates? Anniversaries, birthdays etc? -> @mouseycakes

Willow isn't, at all, unless it's horse related. She remembers horse birthdays / purchase dates before she remembers her friends or family's for example.

Shane remembers the ones of most importance (Willow for example) but everyone else is uncertain.

Cadence is very good. Her memory is 10/10.

44. What is the first thing they do when they wake up?

Wills looks over to see if Jay’s ( @sso-bluejay ) there. She may have been with him for over three years now, but enough shit has happened that just knowing he’s there is enough to keep her close to earth. (Though there are times she’ll find a sketch or something in his place letting her know he went to watch the sunrise.)

Shane every morning without fail stretches, looks at his phone, and puts the pillow over his face. Not sure why. But that’s what he do. He does it less when Via visits but ya know.

Cadence is an early riser and the first thing she does is stretch, get up, and make her bed. She’s a very neat and tidy grill. (To be fair considering all she does, if she wasn’t, she’d have a fuckin’ Mess of a life.)

Willow does because she has a high reputation with many places on the island and is surrounded by friends.

Shane doesn't because despite having a lot of friends he's only close with a few.

Cadence does and doesn't. She's well known for her work but she doesn't have many close friends. She more has people she knows from work and such.

Willow prefers tea over coffee. Even with that, she has a sweet tooth, so she prefers things like tea mixed with lemonade and such.

Shane prefers coffee over tea and likes it straight black. I mean he'll drink other coffee too/coffee with milk & sugar but black is just simpler.

Cadence likes decaf coffee, w/ lots of sugar and milk. 👌

Willow is next, and I had a little fun with this one. Seeing as this is my second OC that isn’t mine, I’ll do my best from what I know. 

Willow is a wandering adventuring soul who spends a lot of her time near coastlines. She is an avid shell collector but is still finding herself after a series of betrayals from her past, leaving her to be wary of other mermaids. She is always kind and willing to lend a hand when needed.

1500 Challenge

This challenge was created by @carina-go-lightlee, and I figured this would be a fantastic way for me to get back into character development now that school’s ended for the summer. Basically, you create a moodboard, and for each image, you write 1500 words. It doesn’t have to be in order or anything. Mine’s certainly not going to be, but I want to get this done. A lot of these are ideas I’ve had for a long time, so hopefully, this can push me to do them.

It's been a while since... well, everything. It just seems like everything's been crashing around me. Around all of us. Everything comes in waves. The loss of friends and family, the bringing together of it. It's just been a lot to handle in a short span of time. I think I can admit now that I've... really been struggling. Unlike before, though, I'm doing my best to get better. For myself, for Jay, for Shane, for all of them.

One thing I started doing more often recently is taking a break. I'll do a bit less work to give the other stablehands things to do, leave early, and spend a good hour or so just roaming around the island, mainly off-roads. I don't want to see people then. That's my me-time.

Either way, I brought Rebel out this evening. As usual, she was an absolute angel. I've never had such a strong bond with a horse aside from Hawkeye. I'm so thankful to have her.

Willow genuinely doesn’t have a favorite animal, oddly enough. She has her horses, her cat, dog, fox, squirrel -- she’s got plenty, and there’s none she favors over the other.
